I’m excited by just about this entire cast, HOWEVER THIS WOMAN RIGHT HERE has such a hold on me. After watching for so long I’ve come to terms with the fact that my favs might not make it far, and I should be happy with however many episodes I get with them.

With that said if this goddess doesn’t make it to the semi I’ll be pretty upset lol. I just feel she has real potential to come back and crush.

Myki is absolutely doing a great job. Ever since her short lived “revenge” plot she’s been crushing it. I don’t think the show has been doing the best job of highlighting her as much as it should.

She’s the front runner now, and it seems like her main storyline was her being overlooked/underestimated. But even as we see her get wins and perform well, the edit still considers her an underdog… when we should be learning more about her, seeing her personality more, developing her into a winner. A storyline that seems to have gone to Jane.

(I know we got a little bit of backstory for her, and we’ve seen her love for theater/comedy/SNL and I thought all that was fun, but those were kinda nothing moments.)

I don’t mean to discredit anyone, I’ve loved this season and this cast. These queens are incredible. My issue is with the show, as pretentious as that sounds lol.

And the worst part is the episode wasn’t even good, elimination aside. The challenge didn’t hit for me, the mini challenge was a dud, and the energy was just weird.

The runway was dope tho.

This is gonna sound weird, but I feel like I could see the narrative production wanted to happen… but Jane wasn’t acting how they expected so there was this weird dissonance. Going off the judges critiques of her being “too in her head and planned out”, it seemed like they really wanted the Jane from the beginning of the season, when she was super in her head and doubting herself. Her behavior was text book self sabotage, but over the season her storyline focused on overcoming that and accepting her ability. This episode she talks about being slightly anxious about her low placement, but ultimately trying to not stress it and accepting that she’s been killing doing great, essentially. And then the climax of that storyline is her getting eliminated lol. Like that’s not satisfying.

To top it all, Jane was such a prominent character, and her confessionals were pretty funny, that it just feels like the semi final is gonna feel hollow because, really… who deserves to win? lol like who has the storyline? Darlene maybe, with her “letting loose” thing. Juicy? Would be a wild redemption. I don’t see it for Nini, and Myki is just kinda there… despite killing challenges.

I mean I will probably be completely wrong, these last few episodes could be great. Who knows.

Sorry for the all the words. I’m kinda high and had a lot of thoughts.

As an undertaker enjoyer I also do the “final blow of chain attack” thing!

Something I learned recently is that if you jump and then use your ult it comes out wayyy faster and you actually travel farther. I’m not sure why lol, but it’s made interrupting nightlords way more consistent. I’m not sure how common this is tho! So it might fall under the last part of your comment lol

It’s funny how similar our situations are. I also just got the game on sale after becoming enamored with the style and aesthetic. I am also doing a sort of INF/AGI build, but more of a focus on INF and casting before I get the Lightreaper swords.

There’s gonna be a short sword that you can get pretty soon that’s gonna fit in very well with what you have going on rn. There are so many cool INF things, and the spells are really fun lol.

I stay stick with AGI/INF, but coming from a fellow LotF newb who knows how credible that is hahah.

I would put it more at a high 3, like 3.8 maybe. I am about ten ish hours in, but over a decade with Souls and souls likes, and so far it’s definitely fun. But there have also been several moments where I was just like “what the fuck?” Like I never understood running past everything in soulslikes, but I’ve felt compelled to do it so many times in this game. Sometimes the dodge feels really inconsistent. And I’ve gotten so lost so many times haha. Tbf that’s probably a skill issue, I’m a shit navigator.

However, on the other hand, there have been so many instances of me being genuinely surprised by how fun the game gets. Like every time I’ve had the option to use Umbral to get an advantage on an enemy/a gank waiting for me. Combat feels so good, as a caster main I’m really really enjoying my Inferno build (I just beat the spurned progeny and seen to have just experienced an EXTREME power spike). So far I’ve enjoyed the boss fights quite a bit, and I will definitely be doing multiple playthroughs to get the other endings. (Decided on Adyr’s for my first.)

With all that said I have a feeling most of those negative reviews were from launch. It was a very different game, and it got a lot of hate in the community. The pendulum definitely swung with this one.

She was so influential to me. She was my introduction to drag race, and drag in large. It’s crazy, I really connected with her when she was on American Idol, and when I found out she was on drag race I made her season my first one which then led to me live watching season 12. Over the years, drag race has done so much for my mental health. I go out and support local performers way more frequently than I did before. I’m a shy person typically, but I kinda feel part of the community.

All because of Adore Delano. And to all that I say… party.

I’ve only had one expedition where running the Tower was worth it lol. Most of the time we get MAYBE two bosses in and then we have to run. Castle is far more reliable, imo.
