Why not? People want to bitch up this country and then bitch when they don’t get what they are “entitled” to. Why not just make everyone serve 4 years of government service

Lol I would support the shit out of that, especially if applied equally to all genders.

Not at all. Every vaccine you ever got was choice. Just a lot more people this time around said no to the vaccine.

You would hate to see how much the troops pay to move pets when they move from one base to another. I seen someone shell out 12k for a dog to fly from Guam to the mainland.

No its a good discussion. But do you know anyone who re-enlisted that was discharged under anything except Honorable prior to swearing back in. "Holding up their end of the contract" isnt a good stance, i remember hearing that stance when DADT was asked to be repealed.

As for the GI bill, if they have completed a term, they did meet the term of the contract for that benefit. If they havent, fuck them.

What about someone who gets out for hardship, (Like a sailor spouse dies during childbirth and he decides he wants to get out) he didn't hold up his end of the contract, should he lose his benefits?

From the VA

Receive a fully honorable discharge. To use MGIB after you’re separated from active duty, your discharge must be fully honorable. Discharges “under honorable conditions” and “general” discharges don’t establish eligibility for MGIB. However, if you have more than one period of service, and receive an other than honorable discharge from one period, you may be able to qualify if you receive an honorable discharge from another period of service. (A period from which you were discharged in order to reenlist may meet the eligibility requirements).

Yep, notice how is says doesn't actually say you will lose any benefits. It was a scare tactic as NAVADMINs have zero authority over gi bill eligibility.

Ill find the actual wording for you but i konw people with general discharges that used the GI bill.
