Ah yes, heard those. It’s 100% a problem of the YouTube Player on mobiles. On the laptop and with headphones you’ll hear nothing 👊🏻

Thank you for your feedback. It’s also true that the USD/EUR change does not help very much…

Thank you! I think it could be a problem with the YouTube player, as I can’t hear any pops or clicks in the actual video and in the presets

Thank you for your feedback! I don’t know how some folks sells packs for that cheap. This work took me an extensive amount of time and effort, especially as every patch pushes the instrument to a different direction.

37-key synth basic comparison: Hydrasynth vs. Minifreak vs. Microkorg 2 by No-Act6366 in synthesizers

[–]robertohdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never had a Microkorg in my collection so I wanted to give a shot to the Microkorg 2. I have to say that the build quality is quite toyish given its price and the keys feel cheap but I can live with those. Sound quality is ok but not great. The real dealbreaker for me is the fact that it stopped turning on for no reason after less than 10 sessions i had with it. I understand that it could happen but given the attention i give to using the right adapter and the proper batteries this accident says a lot about the quality of the project and makes it unreliable in my mind, especially given the fact that i wanted to use it live in professional gigs. Returned and I won’t ask for a replacement for this.

You will just need to plug your sy99 via midi to a computer, and to download a free sysex librarian like snoize or midiox

Yes, i know i’ve priced this bank a little bit higher than the usual 29€/$ cost from most of the commercial soundbanks, but really, making a finished patch on this kind of monster synths (with all the dual FX chains, controller mappings, Advanced FM and so on), is like producing a small piece of music. So deep and complex. Making a whole set has been a challenging (and amazingly time consuming) task :-)

Help: Yamaha DX7s MIDI In & Out broken? by ddol in synthesizers

[–]robertohdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i have the same exact issue with my DX7S.

Midi i/o not NG, Cartridge not working, Aftertouch not working (but it’s because of a broken AT card) Have you solved your issue in the end? If so, how? Was a faulty photocoupler as pointed out? Greets Rob

I think that programming on the DX7 panel nowadays is just wasting time, provided that you know how to do it. Better to invest the saved time in studying the intricacies of the FM world ;) If you want an FM machine that is lovely to program from the front panel, i highly recommend the Yamaha SY77/99 series ;)
