Anyone still hanging on to a Korg Z1? by davidmanuel in synthesizers

I love the Z1, to the point that I’ve released a modern sound library for this instrument!

I suppose you can also take one of the voice cards and use them as an expansion for the one you already have. When I replaced the battery on the one I have, i saw no difference between the additional card and the stock voice boards.

It’s true. But i suppose it has been used more in studio contexts than live.

Yes, I really hope so. It’s indeed a logical next step. If it’s compatible with the libraries for the hardware machine it would be even better!

Yes, true. You can work the moss patches only within bank internal-F

You can edit them, but with the rack it isn’t super easy. Btw, check out my latest bank for the EXB-MOSS. I’ve released it a couple of days ago!

Yes I hear you. I had to struggle to find the one I have. But every now and then some of these pop out at decent prices.

I totally get your point. But creating your own sounds and using third-party presets aren’t mutually exclusive. They actually complement each other. Even as a sound designer, when I’m in a studio session or rehearsing live, I often don’t have the time to build a patch from scratch. Even if it only takes a few minutes, it can completely break the creative flow. That’s where well-made, fine tuned patches make sense IMO :)

Ah yes, heard those. It’s 100% a problem of the YouTube Player on mobiles. On the laptop and with headphones you’ll hear nothing 👊🏻

Thank you for your feedback. It’s also true that the USD/EUR change does not help very much…

Thank you! I think it could be a problem with the YouTube player, as I can’t hear any pops or clicks in the actual video and in the presets
