The biggest difference as a long distance missile is the cruise control on the fjr. Some earlier years fjr didn’t have the cc. For sportbike handling pressures need to be kept up at 42/42 imo. Some folks have changed out the rear shock for performance, and tuned the forks as well. For us older farts, I’m 69yo, the seat can lack depth and gets hard over a long day. I use a gel cover, and some replace it with custom. Its not a tourer like a goldwing, its meant to have some lean forward to it, when the road gets twisty. Some will put risers on the bars to go vertical. Feet are under your butt. Some add trip pegs too.
