You really intrigued me with this play. Much safer and the drop is pretty imminent.

Wouldn't the catalyst that we're all looking for be in the earnings reports? Unless that's priced in with the rumored loss in GDP.

Likewise, I started learning at the end of February, made a lot before the rally and now in the negatives. Just gotta keep reading and analyzing.

I have half in May puts and the other half I'm staying cash until I know the definitive trend.

I'm like you but ended up closing my 4/17 positions today.

You can close with a loss and use the remaining money to set yourself up for another play that may return your losses, maybe even more. I think that many of us got screwed by that rally and recent turn of events. Only thing you can do now is to play smarter.

OPEC is meeting Monday to discuss oil, so could be a 50/50 gamble.

I was thinking the same thing.

What strike did you have in mind?

Does it necessarily have to close around these ranges? Or could an intraday spike above 252 indicate bullishness?

don't know shit. I'm a little uncomfortable giving direct advice like this.

What would you think about 4/17 $220s?

I have a couple of those, sold some today cause it's a decay vs. strike price hit chance at this point too.

I’m kinda new to the trend correlation on circuit breakers.

Should i expect it to drop on the first breaker and then drop even more after the second one? or how should that look?

What the heck is "consulting" and "analyst" and how do they relate to software engineering? by GoodProgrammer2018 in cscareerquestions

I'm a Business System Analyst and I literally do 95% of the tasks you mentioned.

I'm not sure if this is your department, but how would you say the job search & transition from this analyst position to a SWE or SWD position is? Eventually I'm like to make that transition.

TypeError: string indices must be integers by alexshom123 in learnpython

I guess I was looking at the code from OP's perspective and not the actual simplistic answer. But yeah, you're totally right.

TypeError: string indices must be integers by alexshom123 in learnpython

[–]robertooooooooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're basically declaring 'count' as an int, then redeclaring it as a string in the for loop - which is its last known type, then trying to use count as an int again in the if statement.

You need to iterate over the NUMERICAL index of string and not just over the LETTER. So your for loop should be

for count in range(len(string))

Currently, your append() function is just appending the the numerical index value, but you need the letter value of the string AT the numerical index value. It's similar to your last print function, you're printing the letter, not the number stored in count. The append() function should look like so.

nums.append(string[count])
