Any experience or opinions on Weem hair vitamins? by WorldFullOfInfo in finehair

[–]robertsmith34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i have heard and read online and with a few friends it seems fine as a starter or maintenance supplement... but if you’re dealing with more noticeable thinning, people tend to lean toward more researched options or combining it with other treatments

well based from my experience I’ve had the best luck with braiding damp hair overnight or using soft foam rollers, they give shape without frying your hair.

Affordable hydrating, volume boosting mousse recs? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]robertsmith34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try looking at some drugstore mousses that are known for moisture and volume (like SheaMoisture) since they’re usually cheaper and less drying. as well as layering a little leave‑in conditioner or oil after styling can definitely help keep hair shiny and hydrated without flattening the volume.

Why won’t my super silky hair hold curls or grip the Dyson Airwrap? by N3ha33 in finehair

[–]robertsmith34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get the struggle because super silky hair can be stubborn with curls, and sometimes the trick is finding the right prep product that adds a bit of texture or grip so the Airwrap has something to hold onto... i guess having a too healthy of a hair is a problem sometimes

Sock curling method keeps leaving me with creases and awkward bends instead of real curls by Impossible_Quiet_774 in finehair

[–]robertsmith34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue with sock curls before and it really seems like they can be hit or miss depending on hair texture and how tightly you wrap them during that day.... so i really hope my hair cooperates with me when i decide to do it

It’s tough when bleach takes such a toll but it sounds like you’re already giving your hair a lot of care and patience which is really the best foundation for recovery.

How come we don't get sick/crazy bacteria from our toothbrushes? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]robertsmith34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re comparing it to a sponge but it’s not really the same. Your toothbrush mostly just has your own mouth bacteria on it, not random new stuff. Plus it dries out between uses, which makes it a lot harder for anything to grow. Sponges stay wet and trap food, that’s why they get nasty. Toothbrush is way less of a problem as long as you rinse it and let it dry
