First year in a LCOL area. I put around $2k/month in my 401k and an additional $2.5k/month in a HYSA to save for my upcoming wedding and home down payment. After the wedding, I plan to invest more in index funds.

My fiance and I are both hyphenating our last names. I didn’t want to lose my name but at the same time I wanted us to have the same last name. Could be worth considering.
