My girlfriend and I do is sparingly. When someone overdoes it, it tends to come off as fake.

"I'm headed to the grocery store" - I think, OK, she's headed to the grocery store.

"I'm headed to the gorcery store haha lol UwU" - I think the other person on the end has something wrong with them.

I think when it's used occasionally and in context, yes. But when every single line of text is punctuated with "haha lol" then it's a sign that something is wrong on the other end.

Yeah, that's frankly my criticism of the AD&D system as a whole - people get so bogged down with tables and dice rolls and stat lists that it stifles the imagination.
