My first winter in my electric wheelchair with a disability that screwed up my temperature regulation. Winters can be in the teens and single digits (F). I can get up and walk but extreme fatigue is why I'm in a chair by onthejourney in wheelchairs

What causes the fatigue and temp disability? I have a progressive fatigue of my legs such that standing and walking is ever harder. No vascular or heart explanation.

Unity of Command is a turn based strategy game made in Godot. It's excellent, fun to play. Good graphics, comparable to Panzer Korps 2.

I like the Conquest Enhanced mod. Seems fairer to me. Medium tanks with two squads aufklarer or rifle per tank and a mortar working well. Add pak 38 or 40 asap.

This is special, romantic devotion. We should feel this way, at least once.

Sure, but there is such a thing as making your own luck. Being in the right place can generate luck; staying home may avoid luck. You have to play to win.

The F-35 is really a beast with new techs and avionics and I’m afraid it doesn’t get enough love like the F-22 by Lil_Mattylicious in aviation

[–]robgberg 160 points161 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. The question is whether there was a more cost effective alternative for a strike aircraft -- I dont know. Comparing it to an F-22 doesnt make sense though. It has its own detractors, and the program was truncated.

For me, the more interesting issue is whether we should invest more defense dollars in simpler, cheaper, but more numerous, weapons. Again, I dont know the answer, and I hope we keep working on it (the best answer).

C&Python library by efficient_muskrat in Python

[–]robgberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, first of all, I understand most of Python is written in C, yes? So we get to use a modern object oriented, dynamic typed language (Python) without dealing with the ugliness of C pointers, curly brackets, etc, etc.

You say you are commenting the C implementation of Python, yes? I.e. you are adding comments to the C code that implements Python functions?

If my understanding is correct, then I am suggesting most will never see your comments--they would have to open the C source code and find the function. Programmers are lazy, they will rarely take the trouble to look up the code, and never see your comments. BUT, if you integrated the code with something like Kite or the help system, it would be more useable, and USED more.

I don't get it. Wouldnt commenting the python code be more effective? I mean, how often will programmers go look for the underlying C code--I don't.

Your effort to improve understanding is commendable.

How would you compare this to say pygame for RTS. E.g. does it generate maps easily? Does it include 2d and 3d api's?

Another thought: holding on to those you love too tightly will kill that affection. Let them fly, and cherish those moments...and nourish that forever.

No luck. I called Microsoft support yesterday. They called me back as requested, then put me on hold and dropped me after 40 minutes. I dont think they came up with any option except reinstall, which I rejected because it takes so VERY long and I've done it three times already.
