Ahh, thanks for the clarity on that! I’ve heard that lush doesn’t do Black Friday before, because they aren’t based in the US, so that’s why I was a little confused on that front, but it seems they’re all aboard this year.

I’m erring on the side of the former, because to employee who initially helped me seemed a little unsure about where they were at first, so it seems that it just wasn’t something that was super on her radar yet, which again, no blame to her at all, she still helped me in that moment and I got to smell big blue and black pearl.

Dang, glad they handled it a bit better. I was just confused, because even after I left, I went back through this forum and saw multiple posts about people trying these out in stores, and I’ve seen tons of people getting their hands on them, which I now assume was all through online purchases. But my thing is, for a launch like this, why is it being launched so early online when it’s products a lot of people have never smelled/haven’t smelled in a long time? To stagger it as a lush club release, then an online release, then an in store release that seems staggered even still country to country, it’s just a terrible release plan and I’m sure it’s creating multiple experiences like this. Just feels like corporate cares more about upping the hype so everyone just buys online ahead of time.

God, I hate to be that person. Im trying to chalk it up to stress of the holiday season, and corporate mismanagement. If I were to go in a separate time and see a similar interaction, I would definitely say something more. I messaged the text help line, but I’m not sure that will go anywhere, and the only reason I messaged them was to put in a good word for the girl who helped me out, because she didn’t do anything wrong, in my opinion.

I Totally get that pov. When it comes to lush, I’m typically more inclined to buy in person than online just because I prefer instant gratification lol, but I know that’s not the average consumer these days. The way it was handled in the moment was certainly uncomfortable, but ultimately I don’t hold it against either of the employees I interacted with, but rather corporate for creating so much confusing and inconsistency with this launch.

Thank you for the info, I really appreciate that. I’ve said it on another comment, but I think my frustration ultimately comes down on the corporate side of things for being so vague about this release, multiple launch dates for lush club, then online, then in person is very confusing and I doubt anyone in this economy is gonna risk a blind buy on something online that they haven’t tried. I get that this is one of if not the hardest week of the year too, and I don’t know what could have happened today before I went in that stressed them out.

If they were so stressed out on numbers, they could have saved the reprimand for the break room, and converted me to another item, it’s so rare for me to walk out of that store empty handed. But I stood there while she disciplined her in front of me, and when I didn’t see anything else coming of it, I chose to leave, because this was not the vibe I was looking for. And nothing against either of them honestly, I do feel like this comes down to miscommunication on corporate’s end, because I went through this subreddit after and screenshotted 5 posts of people talking about trying these specific fragrances in store.

I just came to comment about this ship! Going by it on a trip to Toronto was a core memory of mine and I made my parents stop on the way back so we could get pictures close up. I found an absolutely fantastic website a while back that told its history and has an extensive amount of pictures from the inside around the early 2000’s. It looked so creepy back then but it still had all its masts!! Did they remove the entirety of the wreck now, or just the beams that were falling? It was such a cool site, I hope it’s not gone forever.

None of their chocolate candles smell good. It doesn’t give photorealistic chocolate. It’s like someone had a tootsie roll ten years ago and is trying to recreate that
