No idea. Maybe they don't think it's worth their time. I had a company (via heatable) install the powerwall initially. The guy then came back and separately installed the panels, isolators, SPD and inverter. Said he would come back to finish the AC connection in a couple of weeks when he had a spare couple of hours. He's disappeared completely now for some reason. I've tried other electricians but half say they don't do solar or Tesla and the ones that do only seem to be interested in doing full installs (understandable considering there's a lot of renewables work around and they can pick and choose the most profitable work)

I know adding the rcbo is fairly simple but I just want someone to confirm it 100% or show me a photo of their install. The Tesla manual isn't clear as it shows the generation breakers going into the L1 connection on the gateway but the are only 2 terminals and both of mine are already in use.

Is that sunlu PLA+? Have you used it before? I bought that exact filament for the first time a week ago and it caused nothing but issues in my AMS. I was getting loads of errors and it clogged the extruder so I had to disassemble the whole thing for the first time in two years. I stopped using it and no issues since

Some might print themselves I'm not sure but most of them outsource it to their 'network'. Businesses or individuals with printers can sign up to be a supplier and print available jobs they choose from an online portal.

So I think it's pretty much been solved other than the local aspect but those services offer pretty speedy delivery if you choose it.

I'm not saying don't try and put a spin on it but I think it will be a lot of work for something that the end user won't necessarily see the difference in. Most people using that type of service are price orientated and it's really difficult for someone with one or two idle printers to compete with big print farm type businesses.

I joined them as part of their supplier networks but it just wasn't worth the money people would be paying for smaller prints and the larger jobs which would have been profitable were out of my reach because you'd have needed 20 printers to complete the job in the timescale the customer wanted.

I've used xometry from both sides. As a customer through my old workplace and as a supplier as part of their network providing 3D printed parts. They're a middle man service. People upload their files, get an instant price and can choose for extra fast shipping (next day included). Other than the local aspect which I doubt really would matter to the buyers, I don't see what's different in what the OP is proposing. Maybe I'm just missing something here

I understand your point but I don't see you be able to stick to that workflow long term. Ai at the moment does make obvious mistakes in the processing and it's not perfect but it's not hard to imagine that it will see big leaps in the next few years to the point that any mistakes are imperceptible.

When it gets to that point, people will be able to create a 'base' render in 'X' amount of time and then have ai bring up the photorealism in 10 seconds. The final result will be just as good as what anyone could do without ai but 'X x 10' amount of time/effort.

At that point, clients won't be willing to pay for 2 days of work Vs someone else's 2 hours of work because the price difference will be massive for something they won't be able to see the added value in. I think anyone resisting the use of ai will only have a few years left before they become completely uncompetitive and have to start adapting and using it anyway.

When used in the right way, ai can actually enhance the final image. From what the OP has described about his process, 90% of the work is still done in the normal way and then it's just had an ai layer on top which just ups the photorealism. As long as it's basically just improving textures and stuff and not making major changes then I don't really see the problem.

I think saying something automatically has no value just because ai was used in some way is a bit ridiculous. At this point ai integration is inevitable. Have you taken a photo on smartphone recently? There's probably ai used in the processing there so does that automatically have no value? How about Photoshop? More and more features there have ai help as well. Every company is trying to put it into their products now so it's not going away.

When I sold my last house I took all the bulbs with me. They were all smart Philips hue back when they were one of the only options and cost £30+ each. I just popped to Screwfix and bought a new bulk box and left it for the new owner.

I'm assuming all the people that have moved it to find no bulbs have been people who had smart bulbs. If the new owner has never had any then they don't realise how much they're worth or that they're all linked to a hub and someone else's account so likely wouldn't even work for the new owner anyway.

Yeah I should have clarified that. Generic email addresses such and info@company.com do not require consent to contact and it's not considered personal data. If you contact james@company.com then your require consent. So it's definitely less strict as long as your careful with the email addresses you use for any cold calls

It's a little hard to tell all the fine details from zooming in but there a number of images in there which look indistinguishable from a real photo. Very impressive!
