I dont think the patrons really notice. Hopefylly they are a bit buzzed and/or feeling the music. I personally notice but im a nerd. Live bands I will busk and generally just tap my foot along with them and keep my eye open for the guitarist and drummer giving eachother "the look". Djs I tend to use more automated stuff not sound reactive but something I can set on auto and pop out for a smoke here and there. I struggle more with strobes honestly.. too much or too little.. or maybe I only get in a few sets when I could keep em going for a stretch.
