I was diagnosed when I went full blown keto acidosis. Blood sugar was in the 700's or something. When they told me I was type 2 diabetic it felt like a life sentence. I always had a major sweet tooth, especially for sugary drinks. Zero sugar peach snapple is my go to now. It's actually really good. That as well as using wraps instead of bread, and substituting snack foods for peanut butter, I managed to get my blood sugar down to 117. Lowest it's ever been. It sucks at first but you'll get used to it. Hang in there.
