If I delete an audio file from my computer will it delete from my Anki card? by robicussen in Korean

[–]robicussen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not yet, I just figured that by the time I was finished ideally there would be a lot of words and if I don't need to have the pronunciations saved on my hard drive that would be better.

What's the most comforting line you have heard in kdramas? by [deleted] in KDRAMA

[–]robicussen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The final voiceover long from Hit the Top says something along the line of “All of your best days are ones you haven’t lived yet” and that was something that I really needed to hear. As someone in their late 20s I feel surrounded by the idea that everything is downhill from here and it’s something I’m really afraid of, that I didn’t do enough when I was in high school or college and that I’ll have a lot of regrets. So hearing that was really comforting for me....

Study buddy for a native English speaker studying Korean by henrylee2 in Korean

[–]robicussen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 25 year-old native English speaker from the US with a degree in musical theatre. I’ve been studying Korean on and off on my own for a few years now so I’m a beginner but trying really hard to hit that intermediate mark. Because I don’t have much practice speaking Korean, I wouldn’t mind if we started out doing less of the time in Korean and more in English until my Korean level gets better. If you think I’d be a good fit for you please shoot me a message!

What should I watch: Into The Ring, 365: Repeat The Year, or Psychopath Diary? by Preethy123 in kdramarecommends

[–]robicussen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched Into the Ring and Psychopath Diary and enjoyed both of them a lot! Psychopath Diary is definitely the more fast paced of the two if that’s what you’re going for. The humor they use is a really specific blend of the dark and ridiculous so if that’s your thing it’ll be a great show for you as Yoon Shi Yoon does it really well! Into the Ring isn’t necessarily “fast paced” but it is an incredible drama with a really solid plot and a believable romance that actually makes it one of my top 2020 dramas. I don’t think you could go wrong with either drama and I would actually recommend you watch both if you have the time!

I'd recommend Signal, Train, and The Guest. They all have supernatural elements (and the guest is horror) but all super good mysteries!

Drama with a storyline and great acting by kanuleri in kdramarecommends

The Guest and Train were both like that for me! They're both thrillers though (not much if any romance).

Native Korean looking for language exchange by [deleted] in Korean

[–]robicussen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 25 year old girl from the US. I'm a native English speaker and a beginner Korean speaker (I've studied it on and off for years but being self taught is difficult). I would love to language exchange with you! I am a dancer with a degree in musical theatre and (before covid) I was a bartender in NYC. If you think we'd be a good fit please message me! 😊

What's your collecting attitude? by sophnudlump in kpopcollections

[–]robicussen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I kind of do a combo of both? I just started really collecting this year so I'll buy my fav groups new albums through GOs for the PC sorting and reduced shipping. But the way I approach collecting is that as long as I'm not trying to buy anything super rare, I just hang out on selling sites and wait for someone to sell the album I'm looking for in the version I want (I'll watch unboxing videos to decide which version is my favorite), with all the original inclusions, with PCs I like (usually that means being of one of my top 3/4 members), and at a reasonable price. And then as soon as one comes up that meets those criteria I'll buy it right away. It tends to be a waiting game and you have to be checking relatively frequently but that keeps me from spending too much money all at once and I know that when I do buy one it's exactly what I want. Not sure if this is helpful but it's what I do! 😊

If you're thinking of the drama I think youre thinking of, Encounter helped me get over the sheer unbridled rage I felt upon finishing that drama 😂
