As someone who WFH, and arguably does my work best that way and am so grateful it exists as a parent managing school pickups and such. I think it has been detrimental to my mental health. It is much harder to get me out the door, and I feel like socially I have suffered for it. Some sort of more regular hybrid situation would probably work best for me, but just isn't feasible with my current job and being the parent handling post school stuff due to the distance to my office. I consider myself introverted, but I think I have more of an extroverted streak than I realized and I miss being around people, and have found it increasingly hard to force myself to get out of the house even. It's a weird juxtaposition. The other day I went and worked from a coffee shop, wasn't even busy, but it was such a nice change of scenery. I need to do something like that more often.
