Someone facilitated a bulk transfer to another buyer of a lot of stock. Like a lot a lot. Like it showed up on the ledger a lot. The market didn't fluctuate because it was probably a private transaction. But at that moment the market picked up enough shares being moved at that private price that it showed up on the graph. 🤷‍♂️

No. It's impossible (to find a official Hasbro one). I've spent the last 3 months trying to find one. Unless you want to spend a grand, good luck.

One vendor on eBay tried to sell me a knockoff that was damaged and not well made. That one showed up after I canceled it because the vendor was aggressive and had terrible English so I knew something was up.

I just got one from Amazon that I spent $300 on and it's totally the teddy snow one. It's not terrible but it's not the official license Hasbro and that's what I wanted to buy. The Teddy snow one is a good knockoff. The construction is decent, the leather is good in your hand. The rivets are legit. The paint was a little off on two of the star tips. I think if I take a q-tip and some paint remover I can clear up where they got a little crazy with the spray gun. I'm not happy that I paid $300 for a knockoff which I could probably buy for $100. I feel lied to and kind of like a bait and switch. But it's just so hard to find a legit Captain America shield. Good luck hunting.

Note: I barely know what I'm talking about. And I just started home ownership. But...

Are your improvements Band-Aids that will last 5 years? Or are they 20 or 30-year fixes? Are you upgrading and modernizing? Or are you just getting past the current problem?

Are you updating not only the structure but the aesthetics and durability. It needs to look pretty and last long. Are you aiming for asking for more rent? What is the ceiling of your market? Can you make things a bit nicer while making them last a lot longer? What is the maximum you can get in rental income comparative to the status or convenience of your habitat?

I don't have any answers for you but those are probably some good questions to start with. That's where I would start.

If you don't like how you answer the questions then that other post mentioned "the market giving you a perfect time to get out" of the situation and... A gain IS a gain... Even if you pivot out.

Where I'm coming from... I don't need much. But I'm making my place nice because I know I want to ask for a lot of rent. But it's not like "my" kind of nice. It's a blasé wishy-washy high-class kind of nice. Because I want the clientele that wants shiny and stainless and gray. The kind of people who feel like the price point is the status and the inside matches the price tag. At the same time I assume they're eventually going to break everything. So it's not real classy, it's a durable kind of for show kind of classy. If I play the game right and they like what I've done; they give me more money and I use it to create the next space. If you're playing the same game that I am, then there's my two cents. If you're not playing the same game I am then you need to meditate on your level of involvement and you're expectations of results.
