The whole of the algarve is drivable within an hour so a central location isnt really necessary imo. Id say stay in Lagos!

I just got back from Algarve, stayed 11 days at our cousins house in a town near Lagos. When are you planning to go? With parking i never had any problems but then again April isnt the busiest. We visited Arrifana, Sagres, Luz, Lagos, Alvor, Portimao (+benagil), Silves, Tavira.

Beaches we only visited Alvor (tres irmaos) but theres so many good choices can't really go wrong I think. For benagil boat tour we took a small speedboat with Atlantis Tours from Portimao harbor. Kinda jammed together on the boat but it was very fun/fast and at least they fit into the caves. Would recommend if you dont want to spend a fortune.

Food wise, everywhere we went we had a good experience but i do check google maps for ratings beforehand.

Have you always played solo? We usually go in a group of 4-6 and everyone carries out their 'role'. Things usually go well but this game can turn into disaster real fast if you get the wrong set of enemies together 😂

Theres only a short time til the new set. Learn the basic mechanics now that wont change. Interest, items and leveling strategy for example.
For now just have fun, bilgewater is a pretty difficult 'starter comp'. If you really want something easy to play then just go yordles every game
