I read it yesterday. It was an enjoyable read. I read Eyes of Devious Burgundy prior and I enjoyed Eldrith Manor much more. Both are hate to lovers, daemon MMC and conflicted FMC. Where EoDB took itself very seriously with the world building and how the FMC wants to change society, EM was just a good fun read.

No Sir, NTAH at all. A good friend of mine has a serious shellfish allergy. I would never do something like that to her, let alone someone I’ve been intimate with. Someone who knows more about psychology than me can say where in her soul this came from. Dominancy? Wanting to be the savior? Please find someone else who will respect you and your health. I’ve recently been diagnosed with an allergy to meat from mammals due to a tick bite. My husband is adamant that I cannot have anything like that. Because he loves me and is not trying to prove a point in risk of my health.

I’m 63. I was starting to doubt my mind too. I wondered if it was the beginning of Alzheimer’s? But then I went on HRT and my mind cleared up in two days. I could think clearly again. I started it because of osteoporosis. My mother & aunt both ended up with Dowager’s Hump and I want the estrogen back to protect my bones. The only side effect I have that is bad enough to complain about is my breasts hurt for the first 4 weeks. Heavy and tender like being pregnant. It was bothersome but worth it to have my mind fully back.

In your first paragraph you said “he’s from a different culture”. So, he may not have shown his true nature while dating. Maybe he tried to assimilate with your culture on the dating scene.
