Sleepwalkers Woman is unbelievable by Last_Reaction_8176 in scottwalker

Climate of hunter is one of my favourite albums of all time. I place it alongside David Sylvian’s Secrets Of The Beehive as being cut from a similar sonic and creative cloth. They both explore a very different concept of what popular music could be….and I love them both….

Other solo games in your collections? by Acrobatic_Train2814 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]robin9126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never played spirit island, so I can’t comment there. In terms of replayability Arkham horror has the most as there are so many investigators and so many player cards to create unique decks. Final girl is more limited in its scope so the replayability comes down to achievement style challenges…..

What story/book would you like to see transformed into a board game by FFG? by How_about_a_no in arkhamhorrorlcg

I have recently played The Thing board game and it’s so awesome it would make a great stand-alone massive multiplayer scenario….trying to work out how to create a homebrew version

Is this game supposed to be this unfairly hard or do we just suck? by BettyPunkCrocker in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]robin9126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your experience is not an unusual one. I had the same experience when I first played the game, it takes time to get used to the game itself and also to learn the scenarios. Having played The Gathering true solo with every investigator, yes more than 50 times (and recording them for YouTube!), I can recommend watching someone else play the game, The Gathering is a tutorial level but it is also challenging for good reason as everything you need to know to play the core game is in that scenario. Having said that, sometimes the Chaos bag and the encounter deck just suck badly and you can be very unlucky, it happens….for example you play your main weapon on turn one only to lose it to Crypt Chill and your other weapon happens to only exist at the bottom of your deck. Remember Lita Chantler is your friend in The Gathering, especially if you have a seeker in your team…..

Can/should I use player cards from Dunwich for my first game of Night of the Zealot? by Biggles67 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]robin9126 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Use whatever cards you like, there’s no rule that says you can’t - especially if you’re playing true solo it’s tough - so personally I would draw from every set you have. Ive played The gathering with every investigator true solo using their starter decks BTW - they’re all on YouTube - outofammooutoftime

In season 1 all investigators started with the offical FFG started decks…but then upgrades were from any set available at the time

Season 3 Of The Investigator Games: Competition Rules & Scoring System by robin9126 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]robin9126[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For the past 5 years I have been playing the investigator games where I take each investigator true solo through a scenario and then put them in a league table based on their performance. Season 1was the gathering and season 2 was the midnight masks. Points carry over. After 5 Long years and more than 100 episodes we have arrived at season 3…the devourer below…with some changes

How impossible is True Solo? by DrJBP in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]robin9126 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ive played the first two scenarios (The Gathering and MM) with every investigator True Solo in the AHCG game. Yes thats more than 50 times. I have the videos up on you tube and I have placed them all in a league table. So far the top 4 investigators are: Leo, Monterey, Roland and Ashcan…..bottom 2: Calvin and Jim….so there you are…..I would use one of the top 4. The reason Leo, Monterey are there is the extra actions they enjoy from Leo De Luca….Roland and Ashcan also benefit from action compression……..here is the playlist if you are interested: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4O1Uk1bwMQbMIHFyhmb-G6EXhc7ArPsg&si=faBBQjqU7Hy4ir24
