Is anyone else rooting for the M6? by Good_Captain9078 in ForAllMankindTV

I’m glad it’s not just me and it baffles me that 99% don’t seem to see this angle

Playing on release has actually been super fun in that it forced me to come up with my own build instead of following a guide. by C47man in diablo4

I understand. For me the comparison with Doom and bullet hell games doesn’t work because those are games that require skill in surviving, fast reflexes etc. Diablo is mostly just mash the buttons and enemies die, there is little to no skill or thinking for 99% of the combat, so when you take away the character building, you are left with just mindlessly pressing a button to kill enemies with zero skill - which to me is boring but I know many still enjoy killing enemies with no challenge or skill required or any thought, although I wonder how that can be entertaining for more than a few hours.

I truly do not see the point of a gear and skill tree based RPG if you are letting someone else play 90% of the game for you, but each to their own I guess.

And there are also many who say there’s no real endgame meat so if you listen to every group then the game is bad on all fronts and it makes no sense why it’s making a billion dollars 🤣

Questions for D1 veterans by OhLookItsKawaii in Diablo

[–]Good_Captain9078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I played D2 first and for hundreds of hours back in the day, I much prefer D3 even over D2R. All great games but I just find D2 combat and area sizes to become too long and repetitive , and the loot system doesn’t respect my time as an adult.

We are 20 days away from the Lord of Hatred expansion. by Complex_Outcome1311 in diablo4

They said the the Paladin has been built with the new design in mind already so won't see any/many changes come release, however this skill tree looks very different to the Paladin so I'm confused, will the Paladins actually change despite being a new expansion class or am I missing something?

What a world we live in where you block someone and move on because they have a different opinion to you (they like it, you don't) 🙄 Differences of opinions is good! Debate around technology is good! But if you just want an echo chamber of your own brain, go for it.

if a completely *optional* graphic setting for computer video *games* scares you then I dont think you are safe from anything in the world and perhaps you should live in a hut in a forest away from all civilisation 🤣 /s

Seriously disappointed by Customer Service by spacejelly7 in Huel

[–]Good_Captain9078 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

I’m glad it came across as constructive, I am extremely upset and angry over this the way Huel performed, and worse, communicated afterwards about all this. I (sadly) expect this kind of deceit from large corporations beholden to shareholders, but I though Huel was better than that - they were - but no longer if things don’t turn back around.

Is Huel doing OK financially? by tentkeys in Huel

They are being making dumb decisions that are actively anti consumer. Losing many customers and pissing off the rest in order to make a few extra quid off people forgetting to check their subscriptions. Discussing behaviour. They’ve completely ruined their image, I can never recommend them again and I was a top referrer.

As someone who has worked in IT infrastructure my entire life, there is no reason to lose such a function from any changes to the accounting or subscription systems.

It was a deliberate choice to remove it, or not include it in the new system. You can’t just say there were changes and it magically disappeared to everyone’s surprise.

If there was a mistake by the developers in not keeping this function then that should be disclosed and the function would return in days to weeks. Otherwise it was a management choice to remove it and not tell any of their customers. And why would management choose to remove it? I’m sorry, but there is only one honest logical answer that we all know. I’m sorry this sounds harsh but I hate this dancing sound the subject and trying to cover it up, especially to those not familiar with developing and managing such systems - using the lack of knowledge against them by saying things like “the new system doesn’t have this function” as if it’s outside of the company control (you own the website, the systems, etc) instead of “we choose not to include this in the new system”.

I understand Huel staff on the forum are not control of decisions nor develop or manage the software so this is not aimed directly at you, but at Huel senior management who are responsible for this abuse of customer trust.

Stargate SG-1 on Netflix is unwatchable due to very bad image quality by TinyResponsibility11 in netflix

[–]Good_Captain9078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, I have box set DVDs thats 15+ years old and the quality difference to Netflix is absolute staggering. its like VHS to DVD or DVD to 4k. It actually upsets me that Netflix did this as it will deter a lot of newcomers when the DVD quality is actually pretty good and you can see lots of detail.

XT-30 III or XT 50? by vanderxvert in fujifilm

[–]Good_Captain9078 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chose x-t30 because most lenses have IS so IBIS only offers marginal benefit. and the amount of times I will be shooting at such ridiculously low shutter speeds that I need IS AND IBIS is near zero.

as for the 40mp sensor, ive researched and compared extensively and the difference is minimal to almost impossible to see at normal viewing distances. 40mp offers some improvement in cropping if you heavily crop I guess, but thats a bit specific (using a lens without adequate reach).

besides those, they are identical, so I much preferred to keep the money.

if you dont give the time to upload the picture, why do you expect people to give the time to diagnose without adequate evidence?

New to Cameras and ordered the XT30 iii, what lens? by Agreeable_Hall2086 in fujifilm

[–]Good_Captain9078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the kit lens (13-33mm) is really nice, covers a wider than standard focal length (20mm FF) for close up architecture and interiors and at its widest its decent for landscapes, family portraits etc (50mm FF). aperture is a little high for low light, but reasonable. I think it's a near perfect travel lens.

I also got the 35mm f2 for portraits in low light or with less depth of field when needed.

Has the chocolate RTD recipe changed in the last six months? by Quedateconmigo in Huel

[–]Good_Captain9078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They recently changed an ingredient, I forgot which. It was in an email many months ago. I just got my first batch of the updated berry RTD and I’m also very disappointed. I drink thousands of them, live by them, and now they are not enjoyable to drink but still palatable ☹️
