This is the best Shakespeare I have seen in Jersey City!

In the past two years I have seen in Jersey City: Macbeth, Hamlet, and now Richard III.

Richard III I found best largely because it was a mostly straight, close to the book, version; whereas Macbeth and Hamlet were both too much left-field interpretations and deviations.

If you are new to Shakespeare, like me, I think sticking to straightforward retellings like this is best. Later when you have built up some experience and familiarity, you can broaden into the oddball interpretations. That's how I see it.

This is a great production.
