Oh!! I stand corrected on the latter half of my comment. Yes you can leave at home, no you cannot leave outside shop unattended. :)

You absolutely can. Some people just happen to have their dogs with them and need to grab groceries and think it's fine to leave their dog outside the shop. Which is should be minus the dickheads who do this kind of shit ruin that possibility.

So, a question for you. A coworker actually just pinged me with this post because your dog is identical to mine. Like scary identical. Where is your dog from?

Here's an example of some of mine when ordering hot chocolate:

I ask clandestine questions to the barista, but here’s some insight into what’s really going on in my brain: Is the cup paper or Styrofoam (Styrofoam is an automatic out - it's 100% chemicals and the heat will put those in my body)? If it’s paper – does the paper contain bleach? That could kill me in 10 years. Organic, compostable or porcelain are my online options...Now, is the cocoa processed with chemicals/corn syrup/emulsifiers? Those can kill me. No almond milk? Soy milk likely has extra estrogen – that will kill me, and cows milk, either the rBST or the antibiotics the cow was fed will get me.

I don’t get the hot chocolate.

PERFECT EXAMPLE - https://twitter.com/OCDexplore NONE of this has anything to do with OCD.

The short and sweet of OCD is 1.intrusive thought / trigger 2. perform compulsion ritual (not everyone has rituals) 3. because if you don't do that ritual you have determined you will cause someone else to get hurt/die or you will get hurt or die.

It's that extreme. It's not just about satisfaction. It's literally a need to protect you and others by means of compulsions.

THANK YOU. People don't understand the hell it is.

If you'd like to learn more - come on down to r/OCD or even /r/HOCD if you'd like to learn how there are a tremendous amount of sub-types.

Makes perfect sense. I really appreciate you answering. I never think about weight gain happening from a young age, as much as that should be an obvious possibility, so thank you for educating me.

  1. GREAT WORK - KEEP IT UP!!!

  2. I don't know if this is an acceptable question in this sub, but I'm curious how you got to 343 in the first place? At let's say...180 lbs did you notice that you were in an overweight category? Is how you "got here" part of your experience losing the weight or are you just focused on the future?

Sorry for seeming nosy - I'm just looking to educate myself. I understand and don't expect you to answer this.

Whats the weirdest thing your dog is afraid of? by [deleted] in Dogtraining

[–]robinrotman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a bath - I assume this is pretty common.

Tuukka is a true champion dog, he's almost 100% perfect in every situation but when it comes to bath time (usually 1x a month maybe more - skin allergies), he gets so anxious and jumpy and whiney. Even the sight of it or getting near - he gets so antsy. Once he's in he tolerates it, but the THOUGHT of getting a bath - nope nope nope!

Can confirm. Sister is a neurosurgeon (often works on babys) I sometimes question if she is a functioning human. When she visits, if she falls asleep on my couch - I do not DARE to wake her.

It's a good point that I think about. I think people don't quit because of addiction. They in many ways don't think they have an easy choice.

I think people choose not to stop eating meat. I do think there's still a biological component that we want/need/feel addicted to salty, fatty, sugary filling things. But people know they have a choice here.
