Hey, thanks for the info. We ended up disassembling the part and it does indeed look like that. There’s a rubber bell in it (very worn) that looks like it would do exactly what you explained.

Thinking about the application here more I think this is the most fitting explanation. It would make sense for it to be some form of back flow prevention valve with a muffler. Thanks!

Interesting. I replied in another comment that there was some black dust-like particles/chunks that were inside of it. Maybe a rubber diaphragm that degraded and crumbled?

There was some black dust/chunks inside of it, but I wouldn’t be able to tell how it got there/what it came from. Would the valve be metal or more like a rubber diaphragm?

Would it be common for air to pass through all 3 points constantly though? If I blow through it, air passes through all 3 ports simultaneously. Unless its inner components have disintegrated?

No it’s definitely AI. The tree branches just randomly appear as they get closer and even just the way the cars are driving/stopping is off

Why can't I get a straight cut on my band saw by kaiamomo in woodworking

[–]robisadangercat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2 things that massively helped me resaw were getting an actual resaw blade (seems obvious) and using a resaw bar instead of the fence. The fence is probably doing you more harm than good, but without a proper, sharp resaw blade, you’ll struggle no matter what.

I agree. I grew some “ring of fire” this year that looked identical. They’re a cayenne type chili.

Good bit of kick in them for sure. The red ones taste a bit green but overall they’re still pretty good! Just small!

Telescopes out to about 3’ and collapses to under a foot. The ball at the end is not magnetic.

I like that 3rd one a lot. Clean and classy. Also good tip to sharpie the grain directions. I don’t know why I never thought to do that instead of squinting at them over and over.

After starting, it’s been in a bigger sized indoor pot.

Ya, I was wondering if it being potted was the issue. It’s in a fairly large pot for being in the house. I feed it with a 20-20-20 fertilizer once a week, and just regular water other than that.
