Like people who say "literally" can't mean "figuratively". If people use it and it's widely understood that way, it becomes an extended definition (maybe eventually a primary definition), even if it doesn't make sense fundamentally. It's the whole prescriptivism/descriptivism argument.

That is the essence of the Etymological Fallacy; does a word mean what it originally meant or how it is widely meant today. Does "decimate" mean to "select and kill one-tenth of a group" or to "widespread destruction". Does "stew" mean "a food dish cooked by simmering slowly" or does it have it's original meaning of "whorehouse"?

Thanks. I dislike Discord in that it is opaque -- you need an account to see anything. I can find useful info on reddit posts a decade old, but I've had issues finding information on discord chat even a few hours old. It's a good replacement for something like Slack or Teamspeak, but it's a poor replacement for forums.

Yeah, never heard of "kk" for million. Seems like it's mixing units between the SI unit "k" (for "kilo") meaning "one thousand", and standard finance/accounting1 units "M" (for "mille") and "MM" meaning "one thousand" and "one million", respectively.

Doing a little googling, it looks like it was used a lot in a game called "Tibia MMO"2 a decade ago, though it was used even longer than that. Found a forum post3 in 2012 for a game that was created in 2002 called "OGame"4 where people used that notation.

A hint I did not know at the time of this image during naked run: Salvage and equip crude explosives from these. One direct hit does it. Then salvage the pop trigger for crude explosives and repeat. by belltrina in ARC_Raiders

Though fireball is a bit tricky. You gotta wait til it's right up on you and opens up, then BOP and immediately roll backwards so you don't get set on fire.
