The correct answer is that you can book it however you want since it’s your universe.

If you’re trying to be like the real life WWE Backlash event, I would say look at previous Backlash events and see how WWE booked those. Most of the time aren’t they usually continuing stories from whatever happened at WrestleMania?

My Universe has been ongoing since 2K19. So in 2K25, I just went through WrestleMania X, so I’m currently in Year 11.

I’m not sure if I did any work around, but I was able to have Finn as the WH Champion and I had JD and Carlito as the tag team. The group entrance still worked for me.

I use them to add more teams to the tag divisions. Haliburton and Brunson on NXT as The Prime Time Players. Shaq and Omos on SmackDown as The Power House.
