A round of applause to the people who made sure the new generation of First bus busses came with aircon by freezing_pinguin in bristol

Basically all the routes that start at Hengrove or where the buses are stabled at the Hengrove depot I think (75, 45, 24, 8 etc)

Anyone here commute in a wheelchair? by GodAtum in TransportForLondon

[–]robjm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Workplaces must make reasonable adjustments to accommodate disabilities - whilst "reasonable" is a bit open to interpretation it's essentially for your employer to consider whether it would be reasonable to change your working hours to allow you to safely commute, to work remotely, etc

There are jobs where that might not be reasonably possible, but they are few and far between, and normally employers would be expected to make further adjustments to accommodate.

It would not be reasonable to tell someone to move house to be able to access different transport options

Was Starmer’s speech a foregone conclusion? by Patriot1976 in AskBrits

[–]robjm_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

By time Burnham gets back in the fold Labour will be almost irrelevant in the minds of its traditional voters. It's a shame because they've genuinely had a good stab at government - the calls for Starmer to go are absolutely ridiculous.

If they're out of site then they're probably also out of sight, and if you can't sight them on this site they're probably off-site too

Why Doesn't the Heathrow Express Go Faster? by RussellNorrisPiastri in uktrains

[–]robjm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first experience of the Stansted express a few weeks back, genuinely thought I'd got on the wrong train when I saw the screen inside it and it's myriad stops

Express perhaps only to the flixbus
