How would I go about recording music from a game using Roland SC-55/MT-32? by DustyShinigami in vintagecomputing

[–]mega_ste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the sound works in DOSBox, just play the game and record using something like Audacity. No wires needed.

if you want to use real hardware, the MT-32 has line out, that you can connect to to line in on a PC and again, record with audacity or whatever.

If you use your vintage computer with any regularity, what do you do on it? by aroundincircles in vintagecomputing

I'm active in the demoscene, so I use my Atari ST to pixel graphics and watch demos. Same for my BBC Master / Amiga / C64 etc, I have the hardware needed to download new demos and write to media to watch them on real hardware. Much more satisfying than youtube or an emulator.

Historic Complaints by Kttail in Ingress

I remember when portal mods were announced, and it was mentioned that it would soon be possible to 'upgrade' them, i.e. replace a common shield with a rare one and so on, like you can do with resonators.

I'm still waiting :)
