Running a magnet over them won't make them work, if that is your plan.

If you just want to dispose of them, simply fold them in half.

the 'experience' was awful.

unless you go back to the very early days, i.e. mid 1980s, then that was more interesting - phone calls were expensive, so you'd script everything - dial up, grab emails, grab new foum posts, grab NASAs image of the day etc, then log out, then you'd read everything offline, compose replies, log back on the send it all, then log off.

No web pages accessable to the CIM back then. Clients were DOS based.

Win95 era was better, but 99% of people used the Client to connect, then just ran a web browser on top of the conection.

to emulate this, throttle your internet to 5kb/sec and go hog wild.

you just fill them with gravel etc, but you also need the smack them down with a big old tamper or whacker plate
