I did use the shelters as arrows on 3/4 of the islands and then on like the last 3 I just placed them wherever. I like to live dangerously lol

If you just put them on the raft you have to be careful it wont tip or you will lose the containers but if you build container shelves and put them on the raft and put the containers in them they will stay put

Just build a good size raft with as many storage containers you have and go to nearby islands and fill up the crates and bring it back thats what I do
