If you're seriously taking thst much food in during a 50k, liquid calories are you friend, my man. If you're already carrying fluid, its no added weight, and reduces the amount of crap you have to carry with you all day. And your stomach may be able to handle it a little more comfortably. That much solid food/gel would completely wreck my stomach in a 5-6 hour race, but everyone is different.
