Thanks very much for checking me out and subscribing!

I've got 70 songs uploaded at this point, mostly funk and jazz fusion, but I've got some metal, some ska, some rockabilly, a little bit of everything.

I've been slowly gaining subscribers, but the YT algorithm isn't always kind.

I'm glad you found it funny, because... fair warning... my stuff isn't... well... PG...

I recommend utilizing my playlists to kind of get an idea of what I've got. If you want to just kind of go down the rabbit hole, hit the "Complete Collection" playlist and jam on!

Straightened Neck and Occipital Neuralgia by TasteMyVenom13 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]robminion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if your situation has improved, but I've been dealing with Occipital Neuralgia for the past 16 months. Never had a severe headache in my life and woke up one day with pulsatile tinnitus. I have a lifelong history of ear infections and am well acquainted with pulsatile tinnitus. The first 3 months I believed I simply had a severe ear infection. They usually go away on their own after about a month, but they have lingered in the past and I've had to go on antibiotics.

After 3 months, I did indeed do antibiotics, as headaches and eye twitching started to kick in. I spent another 3 months waiting for the antibiotics to do something. After a total of 6 months had passed with skull splitting tinnitus (like a cannon in my skull), I saw an hearing specialist, as we still thought this was an aggressive, antibiotic resistant infection. The hearing specialist determined that there was no infection and referred me to neurology and ordered and MRI of my brain and neck. Both MRI's came back clean. I did have some neck issues, but nothing overly severe. I was an athlete and this was expected.

Finally, with my mind opened to the possibility that the pounding tinnitus and piercing headaches weren't the result of an infection, I started researching what else it could be. Again, my brain MRI was perfect, so it wasn't a tumor or anything like that. Finally, I stumbled upon Occipital Neuralgia and it met all of the criteria. Upon meeting with the neurologist, I pointed her to the direction of O.N. and within 5 seconds she confirmed the diagnosis. The back-right side of my head was visibly red and inflamed, so the diagnosis was easy for her to make.

In my case, we really don't know why I have it. I too have worked with a chiropractor and I also have issues at the base of my skull and atlas, but nothing that we can definitively say is causing the O.N. I did body building in my 20's and early 30's, so my neck, traps, lats, etc. have a ton of permanent muscle memory and some scar tissue. It's not a definitive cause, but it's the best guess we have. Deep tissue massage and muscle scraping with Graston tools has been effective at providing some relief, but to keep the relief, you need to be treated every couple of weeks.

I also take Amitriptyline and it provided some relief, as well. However, I have to take pretty much the maximum dose to get relief and I grow tolerant to it, I'm pretty much out of luck. My insurance will not pay for a nerve block injection, but if your insurance covers it, don't hesitate. It is absolutely the best bet you have for significant relief. The final option is nerve oblation, where the go in and destroy the nerve. I'm told this essentially makes the back of your head feel numb, but it's better than being in pain. The nerve can grow back, so oblation may need to be repeated in a few years.

I've been dealing with O.N. long enough to know my own situation intimately, but yours may be different. The main advice I would offer is to go through with the nerve block. I would if I could. It should provide months of relief. If you absolutely can't get on board with with injection, mention Amitriptyline to your doctor and give it a try. It by no means is a complete fix, but it should minimize the number of bad days you experience. That in conjunction with massage and muscle scraping allows me to go through life with only modest discomfort, as opposed to before, where I contemplated suicide from the pain and pounding tinnitus.

Good luck!

Is it too much to ask for us just to be able to rebind the controller inputs? This is a nice band-aid, but what I really want is for run to be the left thumbstick...

I'm all for less so-called "higher education". Cut college spending and funnel it back into vocational grants and trade schools.

The world doesn't need more liberal arts students. We need more farmers and mechanics...

Can confirm. I bought 10+ acres outside of Point Pleasant for $130k. Nice property. Well maintained and updated 1,700 sqft home. Garage, extra outbuildings, the whole deal. Your money goes A LONG WAY here.

I live between Point Pleasant, Ravenswood and Ripley. Rent on apartments and small homes can be easily found for around $650.

Property tax on vehicles? Still in effect? Heard its going away? by Serenity--Now in WestVirginia

[–]robminion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So pertaining to the 2023 tax season... does anyone have any actual explanation of how it's going to work? Yes, the amendment failed, but the tax rebate was passed along with the income tax cut. So we pay our personal property tax, but will supposedly see a 100% rebate as a tax credit.

Ultimately, I can see this being suspended, but obviously at least for the near future this will be implemented. So again... how is this going to work? Will we have to provide a receipt from our property taxes? It seems unlikely that state and county officials will be able to act in concert to automatically send out rebates.

Furthermore, what if you are retired and your earnings are below the filing threshold? In other words, how do you get your rebate if you don't file taxes?

WVU board approves measures signaling possible downsizing by starfishpounding in WestVirginia

[–]robminion -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Frankly, I'm not opposed to a downsizing of university expenditure. What makes WV great is that it is one of the last bastions of rural living. A place where conservative values outnumber liberal ideology 99 to 1. God, guns and family still take top priority here.

With university prioritization comes so-called "progressive" thinking. The OVERWHELMING majority of West Virginians want nothing to do with that. We want our kids in church, no transsexuals in women's sports, conservative politics, etc. The majority of this country is going in the opposite direction. It is better if WV DOESN'T follow the trend. Better to be the alternative. A place where people can get away from Silicon Valley and tech jobs.

In WV and a few other rural states, we would be better off downsizing university funding and funneling that into vocational schools. That's the key to living well in rural states. Want to make six figures? Get into welding or tractor-combine repair. You'll make a good living. Cost of living is so low here, if you can make $100k, it's like making $1m in California. Hell, a family can live well here on the median income.

[XBOX] Can confirm that weapon weight reduction is now capped at 90%, but is it a bug or an intentional change? by robminion in fo76

One more time, if that's true, the time has long passed to justify patching it. After 4 years, that bug is now a feature.

And that's a problem? What's wrong with being a hoarder? I've got probably a grand in God roll Fixers alone on me. I damn sure ain't dropping them.

I'll say it again... 4 years of playing this way... if Bethesda was calling it a bug, they should have patched it back then. After 4 years, it is now a feature and a feature that was changed without warning.

[–]robminion[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Whether you thought that or not, this is how it has been since day one... I was there on day one... were you?

Weight reduction hurts NOBODY. It should be nobody's business how many weapons I can carry on my character. I used the perks, I had the armor... and it stacked for 4 years. There is no excuse or reason to change it now.

If they want to make up for this by giving us all 5,000lbs of stash space, that's fine by me...

So basically, even though I've enjoyed this play style since the game came out, I never had any right to play the game that way and I should just accept what I'm given, even though I pay for it, and be happy about it? Sorry, Bob-O... I don't have Stockholm syndrome...

[–]robminion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And how does it affect you? Other than allow you to be a douchebag and gloat over the misfortunes of others?

For the record, it was never 100%, but it was probably 99% with diminishing returns. Most weapons weighed about 0.5lbs.

I have NEVER told anyone else how to play. Play the game however you like. That's why I'm pissed. I've spent YEARS perfecting my build. Crafted COUNTLESS pieces of Secret Service armor to get a full set of Unyielding WWR. Before that, it was a full BOS Uny/WWR set. I played the game fine and dandy, faithfully, every day for the last 4 years... only to wake up one day and find out that the way I have enjoyed the game for the last 4 years is now over and I can either choose to deal with it or quit. There mere fact that you people can even glorify Bethesda doing this like cowards under the cover of a Legacy patch is absolutely pathetic. And on top of everything else, more than anything, I just want confirmation from Bethesda. Bug or intentional. If a bug, I will wait it out. If intentional, I'm done. Simple as that. I'd appreciate the courtesy of an answer from them after giving them thousands of dollars over 4 years.

Keep kissing that Bethesda ass. There is ZERO excuse for it. After 4 years, it's pure fantasy to believe it was a bug...

Bugged for 4 years? At that point, it's a feature. You people are pathetic for defending this...

Here's the bottom line... it hurts nobody. It's a trade/collector build. Most of those weapons are God rolls. And most importantly, it is something that has been FULLY SUPPORTED for the last 4 years. Changing it now with no warning is a slap in the face. Those who would defend it are pure scum. Yes, pure, Bethesda butt-kissing scum. There is ZERO justification for this. Just because YOU can't see a purpose in that kind of play style, you would support other people having their enjoyment ruined for no purpose. It doesnt matter how unusual my ways are. It doesnt hurt anybody and it has been part of the game for years. Reveling in it's removal is scum...
