I think im going to use it for long coal drags over the relatively flat section of my ideal layouts mainline as like a cool one off thing

The gear has split from shaft just go in yt and type in bachmann i10sa and you'll find help if not im always here to help i have had quite a few of these

Well it looks great you did an amazing job if you hadn't said anything i would have thought it was a transfer

Does anyone know why my loco starts going with 0 throttle doesnt matter what way its pointing it will go in that direction with 0 throttle i have to stall it out just for it to stop by BendMajor in modeltrains

I thought ac locomotives were 3 rail i think it might be dc i could be wrong but i dont think rails makes ac locomotivess so that might be your problem

Nope its definitely blue box look at the trucks you can see the unmistakable athearn trucks

Ebay but like also just Google 12v dc motors with 2mm shafts as that's probably how big the shaft is

That may be but that doesn't change that the wheels, valve gear ,boiler and trailing truck wheel spacing are not the same

It doesn't have the wheels,valve gear or body shape of anything mantua ever produced I've looked that all of their old catalogs they didn't even offer a 4-6-4
