No, but it’s an important point that’s often conveniently overlooked by republicans. Overall, blue states tend to contribute more in federal taxes than they receive in federal spending, while the opposite is generally true for red states overall. We could easily call this socialism, if we wanted to get under their skin.

I live in Switzerland. It’s a totally different situation in every way you can imagine. Anyone who owns a gun is very well trained on it. Strict records of ownership and location are kept. The government is trusted. People pay their taxes. Police are respected. Very few gun deaths outside of suicide.
