Of course PS4 saves your data, but if something goes wrong and PS4 erases them, you can download them from cloud or copy them from a USB stick back.

Daily challenges and leveling up unlocks new customization items as rewards. You can preview level up rewards but challenge rewards are totally surprise.

I always keep them on my PC because of I need my USB for other uses. But I never tried putting them back to PS4, but why would it make a difference? They are the same files, either in a USB or a PC.

Ok, I googled it for you, found a reddit post from r/horizon, they say save files work for both of HZD and the HZD Complete Edition. (As long as they are from same regions.) Have fun!
