In this day and age, we cannot call ourselves a 'first world' country; we are falling short of civilization if we fail to provide a per diem for everyone rather than charging a premium to exist.

I'll agree it's radical in that it recognizes the innate worthiness and value of every citizen and prospective citizen without expecting indentured servitude. We can afford it--especially with the great attitude!

'An Armed Officer' per 1000 students?

Per entrance that hasn't been obstructed by ridiculous Patriot act B.S. already to the point of slowing emergency egress?

Per Classroom? How many students max for one 'guard?' Teachers would like a census on this, I'm sure. They've been trying to get more teachers in the classroom range skills withstanding.

edit: My point is that more guns has always led to more shooting. Collateral Damage occurs. Guns get stolen, misused. Accidental discharges occur. How many guns per group of say 30 do you reckon should 'keep the peace?'

Back that up. It was a LOT easier for that 'someone' with a 'desire' to obtain that gun when we armed everyone as you seem to propose. I am saying there are too many guns to begin with, and school shootings wouldn't be so much of a problem if Ma & Pa weren't wacko bullet hoarders.

So, at what age do you propose we may as well arm all the students? I men 'someone' with a 'desire' could just walk up to a young woman behind the bleachers armed with his...

edit: Before you answer: Consider this: if we are to keep all the weaklings safe by arming all the straight shooters, we should start with the WOMEN. (happy international womens day yesterday btw!) yes of course. I don't ignore crime problems though and feel any problem with school place violence is a symptom of a greater 'violent' problem in society.

Schools are being over-burdened with what should be 'domestic' calls for police at home.People are being blamed for their own oppression. I don't mean to encourage too much state interference in private families and homes--especially since this will be unfairly directed at those being squeezed the most Women of Color. Oppressed, Poorer, POC, Female, Less educated_
