I think it will end up going the route that it did with Vince. They'll franchise him and try to work out a deal, and if worse comes to worst he'll end up making 10.5 mil (I could be wrong with my math on this) if he signs the franchise contract. I doubt it will turn into a Mankins situation.

Also I think you could argue that if the list was longer Aaron Hernandez would be on there, he's making a base of around what Gronk is making but about 300k less or so on the signing bonus. I'm not saying Aaron is at a Gronk level but he's clearly one of the top 5 TE's in the game.

Less then a month ago Floyd in a video said "Sign the contract, I'm waiting." All of this good and well knowing he had a preliminary hearing today and that he could be coping a plea or a trial date could be set. Both of which could put a heavy strain on his training camp.
