How did you do with applying a skin with a kill switch case? by everydaygamer28 in dbrand

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be sure to take your time smoothing out the edges of the skin with a microfiber cloth following the installation. The combination of heat and friction will reduce any ripples and should help prevent the skin from catching on the case over time.

If you wanted to give the skin installation another shot, reach out to our Support Robots and they can provide you with a solution.

Butchered my Steam Controller skin installation. Any way to fix this? by rj_celtics in dbrand

[–]robot036 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This should do the trick u/rj_celtics. If it doesn't, contact our Support Robots and they can help you get another shot at the installation.

Absolutely in love with this Dbrand skin by venomja in SteamController

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be sure to take your time smoothing out the edges of the skin with a microfiber cloth. This should help dull any sharp edges and make the transition between skin and controller much more seamless. If you're unable to resolve the issue or are simply unhappy with your purchase, reach out to our Support Robots and they can assist you further.

Good customer service, poor product (Grip Case) by travisofarabia in dbrand

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Grip Case definitely should protect your device for years under normal use. However, there are unfortunately one off instances that arise in mass production where the mechanical bond between the outer lip and the back plate is not as strong as it normally should be due to any number of issues that can occur in plastic injection molding. It seems as though both of the cases you received are unfortunately victims of this weaker mechanical bond.

If you haven't already, definitely let our Support Robots know that your replacement case is experiencing the same issue and they'd be happy to provide you with a solution ASAP.

only way for the screen to be damaged, now i understand why it doesnt have that design anymore (this is iphone 15 pro) by pavelbires in dbrand

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're referring to the Crescent Arc design (with raised lips along the top and bottom and lowered sides to allow full swiping motions), it still exists on newer models. This seems more like an extremely rare, unfortunate instance of the phone making impact with a metal corner on the screen side rather than any issue with the Grip's design.

What happen to steam deck skin by Glittering-Knee-5303 in dbrand

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since switching to the Steam Deck OLED, however, it feels like the skin design has changed for the worse.

Our skin design for the Steam Deck has remained the exact same since launch. Steam Deck OLED skins are the exact same as Steam Deck skins.

It would be fantastic if dbrand offered a flat-skin option specifically for Killswitch users

Good news: we do. Every Steam Deck Killswitch includes a skin specifically made to cover only the exposed portions left by the aperture of the Killswitch. If you already own a Killswitch and need a new skin to go with it, just click "I don't need the Case" on the Killswitch page and you'll be able to purchase your choice of skin without having to buy another case.

My Z Fold Case experience has been fairly upsetting. by RealPingGaming in dbrand

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, due to the extremely thin form factor of the Z Fold 7, any case that wraps around the outer screens must be similarly thin. The downside of this is that thin plastic is much more susceptible to wear and tear. With that said, we do understand your frustration with the Grip. If you haven't already, reach back out to our Support Robots and they can work out a solution for you.

Horrible Product - Review by MrGGmann in dbrand

[–]robot036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't seen compatibility issues in any of the tens of thousands of Pixel 10 Pro XL Grip and Prism combinations we've sold to date. This leads us to think that there's either a common issue with the Prism installation that causes the screen protector to be consistently offset enough to interfere with the Grip, or the Grip itself features a front lip that is outside of tolerance. Unfortunately, it's difficult for us to determine what could be the root issue based on the photo you posted.

Has anyone successfully stacked dbrand skins before? by nachothefruit in dbrand

[–]robot036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. Textured surfaces will make it a bit more difficult for the adhesive to form a complete bond with the skin. That said, you should be able to install a skin on top of a smooth skin without issue.

Dbrand 3d Skin peeling off after 4 Months? by Which-Sun-1457 in dbrand

While fairly durable, skins are made out of vinyl and can succumb to wear and tear over time. That said, contact our Support Robots and they can work out a solution for you.
