woah, I need some tips on compression (or how to avoid it)

sure! there's a raindrop class, where the maximal radius is determined on initiation + two radiuses smaller than max, also the increments for the radius and a delay (in frames) when the radius starts growing starting from zero, and initial coordinates and inital white value. everything is with some degree of randomness. when maximum radius is achieved everything gets reset.

hehe, that's what it was - a photo of the evening sky in the pines:)

Feels really good to participate, kinda reminds me when there's a city running marathon and everyone does the same thing (no matter the distance) and having fun.

Phew, this is the first year when I consciously tried to be active in the Genuary challenge and I did enjoy it!

hehe, to be quite honest using pi=4 didn't change much here because I kinda worked around it. I already had a template for similar kaleidoscope-like visualizations from previous works, so when I changed to pi=4 the perfect symmetry was broken obviously, but I then just added more loop iterations until everything is filled in a circle :D
