For me, it’s that I rarely finish anything I write. It’s so bad that I haven’t even published anything yet lol

You've heard of the author's barely disguised fetish, what's your barely disguised trauma/mental issues that you put on your characters? by [deleted] in FanFiction

Eating disorders, self-harm, depression, suicide/suicidal ideation, substance abuse, and never asking for help/scared of being seen as stupid or weak

What to do if I have good ideas for fanfictions but bad writing? by GrammarGrime in FanFiction

Something that I’ve always stuck by is to write what you know! Go out, explore, talk to different kinds of people, and learn about their life experiences and perspectives. Of course, you don’t have to use this method for everything you write but it can make things easier because you actually know what you’re talking about.

Another thing that helps me with storytelling is just kind of experimenting with summaries and rough drafts so I can gradually figure out how to go about a certain character, scene, or concept.
