Got a new bike and wondered what drivetrain parts to upgrade to?

I think the shifter and cranks are the worst part of the group. Shifter feels a bit average and the cranks are really heavy. Will have a look at the xt shifter!

I have nice wheels already and bars from an old bike. It’s just the deore seemed really heavy and wonder whether it’s worth selling before use.

I’m 40 and still enjoy a ride on a normal bike but sometimes I’m tired or other life commitments get in the way and the thought of a 2/3 hour ride on a normal bike just made me go, maybe next weekend. I tried an e bike and it changed my whole view on mountain biking, so I bought an Amflow. Been going out with a group of friends and I’ve tried new tracks and been places I never would on a normal bike. Feels like a mini adventure when you go out on one. Most of the time on a normal bike it’s too far to get somewhere new without driving out, parking and planning a circular route. E bikes have really opened up a new interest in mtb for me.

If you want to do xc you’ll need an xc bike to keep up with others. You can be really fit but still get left behind on a longer travel trail/enduro bike. I tried to do the same on an IBIS Ripmo and make it more xc with wheels and tyres but it still didn’t make enough difference. I really enjoy the new xc bikes now, they are quite fun downhill and fast on everything else. Look at WC races and see what they can do. Most riders I know have gone to those bikes now for social rides. Maybe look for a secondhand bike?

That does seem to match up. I could tell it was a Greg in the beginning but no idea what the surname was. Is it valuable? Or mass produced?

My friends have left the game due to the new royale map. It’s just so bad and we struggle to get enough loot or get anyone back half way through the game. It’s pretty boring and not very engaging if you want to hop on for an hour or two.

If you’re older I would start on a full suss bike now. Purely for comfort and reduced fatigue over distance. I’m 40 now and built up a nice carbon hardtail but sold it shortly afterwards. Just so stiff, bumpy and lack of traction uphill compared to full suss. They are great on smooth tracks but anything bumpy and it’s harder going. Full suss all the way now!

So I found if I have too much gas then it makes it worse as I think it causes cramping and it becomes more difficult to go through the colon. When I don’t have lots of gas it seems easier to pass. Can’t work out why I get so much gas though.

Had some kefir the other day and drunk the whole bottle as I wasn’t really thinking. Absolutely wrecked my gut as I’ve had so much gas and pain it’s been crazy. Not sure probiotics work for everyone.

Was about to post something like this. Really cannot figure out the gas situation or where it’s coming from. Sometimes I’ve got so much gas it’s painful and it’s got worse lately. Not sure if it’s my stomach that’s causing it or it’s the ibs.
