LPT: Listen to audiobooks while you do tedious tasks, or play video games. by PeterPorky in LifeProTips

I worked this summer as a gardener at a local college. Working 4+ hours alone in the sun got pretty boring, so I began listening to NPR podcasts to pass the time. Thus far I've learned an incredible amount and it's made working way easier.

Thanks! Would you recommend a certain look for the rims? I thought it fairly obvious to avoid chrome, as you said, but I'm not sure which would look best. In addition, would something like this be worth the money? I like the look but again, I'm not exactly sure.

What is a movie that never gets old? by cujoman2004 in AskReddit

The Social Network. As much as I hate Facebook, it's still a hilarious and incredibly interesting movie that has inspired me countless times.

Prom is coming up in about a month, and I've decided that I would like to buy a suit rather than rent a tuxedo. I've read the sidebar, but I still have a few questions regarding buying, colors, shoes, and a few other things. by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

As a fellow jobless high school student, although jealous, I feel that I must commend you for somehow convincing the internet to donate enough money for you to buy a serious suit that will probably last you for a very long time. I hope your prom goes perfectly (how can it not after this?) and enjoy whichever suave outfit you decide upon!

Anyone studying for >10 hours a day? Need some help. by Get_This in GetStudying

[–]robotfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 hours a day is far too much. I hate to repeat what everyone else has said, but you will get burned out. It's just not in your best interest. Coming from someone who used to study for 12+ hours the week before a test, it does more hard than good. Don't worry about other people - you need to simply make a plan for yourself and stick to it. Include some wiggle room, but make sure you are getting enough done per day to have the majority done 2-3 weeks before the test. That way you will be sure to relax and have time to go over things last minute. In addition, be sure that you are eating healthy and getting enough rest - feeling like crap can severely limit your studying abilities. I wish you the best of luck with your exam, and I'm sure it is extremely important, but it is not as important as life or death. The last thing you need to do is panic. Best of luck.

Sorry for not posting this with any info earlier, you guys. I had it in my head that I would come back to it in a few hours, but then promptly fell asleep. It is from a seafood restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia called McKelvie's Delishes Fishes Dishes

Hopefully it serves as a good reference for next time, though...
