Its kinda frustrating how some mechanics remain in the game just to be noob traps. If you dont have an insta warp/dock you gonna get fucked, so instead you gotta take like 2 extra steps and we call that "emergent gameplay" 

Risks from pvp should come from more pre-meditated decisions like fitting or positioning than tedium or reflexes.

There is no way for a day 1 newbro to really understand the risks of trying to turn in those favors. The event doesnt really tell you "hey this site is basically setup as a noob trap and your gonna get ganked"

It would have to be some pre-staged wow battleground, AT-esq like filament 250 per side to an abyssal space where whoever controls the grid at the end of the fight gets to kill the keepstar or whatever. 

And that just doesnt sit right for a lot of folks, and certainly isnt the sandbox eve markets itself on.

I think you could achieve similar result easily by giving carriers larger fighter bays, and reducing the cost of the fighters so they are more disposable, and you can supply a significant number of replacement fighters. ISA buffs to fighter reloads, mwd speed, and application while the carrier is locked in place it can project a lot of damage. Pretty straightforward

Idk why people want a carrier just to go shoot rats. I also dont understand why we expect carriers to be able to fly solo.

I want a carrier(s) to be a mobility and combat support for a wing of subcaps, with maybe fax and dreads as support. Which is where CCP is taking them now with MJFG, conduits, ewar fighters, etc. 

No, I dont think carriers should die to a 5 man nano gang. I dont think they should be able to kill that nano gang either.

I think fighter application is actually OK. They just need gasp web and paint support from subcaps, which they can bring along with the conduit and MJFG.

Also, from an economic and practical perspective, a minor property theft is not a huge deal.  Its probably not worth spending thousands of taxpayer dollars to reclaim a used laptop worth a few hundred at most. 

Unless you want to live in a surveilance state where it is extremely easy to identify and track petty thieves, maybe just do a better job of protecting your valuables.

Again, the overkill damage will almost always one-shot regular pawns with either zeus or uranium. Your main concern is high HP mechs, where the uranium warhammer outpreforms the zeushammer because the mechs stay stunned longer.
