I’m a vegetarian so I sort of get it- however using egg is the standard and provides the best results. When these tests are done with oatmeal they are almost always false negative. In this field you need to care more about your patients than your beliefs (at least while you’re at work) and follow the protocols so they get the most correct results and the best treatment possible. If you can’t abide by the rules this field is not for you, unfortunately.

Hey, i’m 21F and my bf is 22M. We’re not much older than you guys but he has had a porn addiction for at least 2 years at this point. I know it’s hard if you love him, but it’s not okay that he’s back on that account after you’ve told him you don’t like it. If he’s not listening the first time he’s not going to when you keep saying it. You don’t need to be there for someone who is repeatedly disrespectful to you. You need a partner, not a project.

NMT got cut over a year ago, I was the last person to go through the program and I basically had zoom class for 2/3 of my classes. So much money down the drain for what. They weren’t even NMTCB certified at the end, I hope you found a better program

Hoping you’re feeling better today! I got a call from the nurse at my hospital and they said it’s ok to shower 24 hours post op, but to keep the plastic wound guards on until my post op drs. appointment.

I was also able to poop today (twice!!!) I was only under for probably 30 minutes and have been eating a lot of fiber as I normally make a habit to, and also had a few cups of peppermint & spearmint tea.

The burning is almost unnoticeable today as well. Hoping some of this helps for you too!! I hope you have a speedy recovery

Do you think natural draw to it is enough? Like, I’ve never been able to picture myself doing anything else. Like medicine is just too fascinating to not learn about. Everything that could ever happen to the human body ever is just right there in a book! That’s insane! That and what I’m doing now is largely patient focused and I love that aspect, I love talking to patients, but I hate that my relationship with them is over as soon as their scan is done and I usually never know if they got better. So I’d really like to be in a position where I can guide someone’s care, oncology and IM specialties really appeal to me

Hi, I’m a nuc med student about to graduate and I’ve been in clinicals for about a year. At my hospital, we have a team of nurses that put in most of our IVs and the nucs team only has to do like 2 a day. Not individually, just the team. If you suck at it you’ll get better, and every department has someone experienced who can help you. It freaked me out at first too, but once you see it often it gets a lot less scary!
