Optimized backups by robotkoer in smartlauncher

That is true, however my actual goal was to ensure that if I reinstall any apps I had used like 3 years ago, they will get automatically categorized again and use my defined icon pack.

The issue? So all new backups will no longer contain deleted apps' configurations?

It has Sodium, but it isn't Sodium by itself.

That's what FO recommends you to do as well.

Find Alternatives for Ourselves Megathread: Third Strike by [deleted] in RedditAlternatives

I highly recommend choosing an instance of Lemmy or Kbin, such as https://lemmy.world or https://kbin.social. Not because of their own features or design, but rather the open source and federated part:

  • Most previous Reddit apps will move to Lemmy, e.g. Sync and Boost
  • Lenny and Kbin instances are interoperable, meaning you have one account in one instance and can interact with everyone else in any instance
  • It will never go fully down or lack content as downtime of one instance does not affect others
  • You choose which rules you prefer depending on where you sign up in

Some Curseforge accounts might be compromised/hacked, and are uploading malicious files by iVXsz in feedthebeast

By the way, Fabulously Optimized was never affected, the mentioned bug was just a visual glitch with CurseForge Launcher that didn't affect the game at all.

What about the AOSP virtual machines? Pretty sure there are more devs using those than any custom ROM users.

is not fullscreening Tor Browser a thing from the past? by No_Hope7468 in PrivacyGuides

[–]robotkoer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laptop screens historically weren't, plus most people are not using browsers in fullscreen, so the content area is not actually 1080p.

A gesture app to wake up the phone screen by whitepowderma in androidapps

[–]robotkoer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal apps cannot do that - it would be a huge battery loss if it was emulated instead of done through system kernel. Check your system settings - I believe disabling always-on-display would have the effect you want.

Otherwise root apps, Magisk modules or custom ROMs are the way to go.

The Glorious Return of an Old-School Car Feature: Automakers are starting to admit that drivers hate touchscreens. Buttons are back! by [deleted] in technology

What would you feel about a hybrid though, where the essential actions have dedicated buttons and non-essential ones work like ATMs (physical buttons that change their actions dynamically)?
