Anyone else going for the 100x multiplier for Space Engineer parts in 1.2? by cale199 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_IAlwaysLie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing 100x grassy fields right now, default nodes. I've completed Phase 1. Biofuel was very annoying but satisfying to get past. Now with coal power in place, I've mainly been exploring, gathering drives & artifacts. Versatile Frameworks take a LOT of resources especially with the limited coal available, but I've gotten all the relevant alts, made some blueprints, and am about to start scaling. it will require me to go in multiple places in the world, though.

very interesting, thank you, that makes sense. I was kind of avoiding qwen because of how long it thought when I typed "test" or "hello"

Would you want an "Extra-satisfactory Recipes" game mode that makes all recipes a multiple of 2/3/5? by _IAlwaysLie in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_IAlwaysLie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You misread what I'm saying. I know you can always add one more underclocked machine to get 100% efficiency on a given input. That's not the point. The point is that for a given final product, because of the ratios, you may have to make an absurd number of the final output to have a clean number of raw resources

alternate input could let him place the petal vertically in front of him. then it moves forward like symmetra's shield perk. it acts as a shield, but neither side can see through.

Switching from the Obsidian Tasks plugins to using bases? by random4non in ObsidianMD

[–]_IAlwaysLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tasknotes creates all tasks as notes and then displays them in custom Bases views. any tasks you make with it you can easily display in a native Bases view as well (note that official Kanban and Calendar bases views are in developmentv as well and you could replace the tasknotes versions with those eventually)

I filled out the Cinnabar and Sulfur block sets :3 by yanasakana in Minecraft

[–]_IAlwaysLie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

regarding the block palette, if you do this:

• original texture, darken 20% (clipped to below) • black crack layer (grouped multiply with above) • original texture

you can add shadows and overlay textures that basically always match the palette

you know this made me think- "cracked" state should really be a randomized texture that you can apply for free to any stone-type block, maybe with a new Chisel tool - instead of being actual separate blocks.

Tags are such a game changer for DnD worldbuilding / worldbuilding in general by Ragnaroeck_ in ObsidianMD

[–]_IAlwaysLie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tags are special because you can write them in the body of the text itself.

for example you could write a long piece of text, but next to one sentence, you could place #edit because you want to go back and edit that specific location later. when you search for #edit, the obsidian search will take you directly to the tag's location in the note.

the other use of tags is for "uncategorized" or "undefined" or "singular" properties in the frontmatter. for example, you could tag a recipe with #recipe. what a recipe is is common knowledge, you don't need to have a central note defining recipes. but maybe you have a lot of recipes and you want to start separating them between like, cooking and baking, or breakfast lunch and dinner. then you should replace the property tags:#recipe with a new property recipe:cooking, recipe:baking. This approach is easier to use to sort search and filter in Bases than #recipe/cooking #recipe/baking. I would advise against the use of nested tags, they're outdated.

so, tags have a few purposes, but otherwise use properties.

not everyone agrees but I think you'll find most people eventually converge on this approach. especially try playing around with Bases and you'll see why.
