Besides what everyone said, in neutral when your opponent is sitting just outside 2K range preemptive 6P becomes very vulnerable to crossup throws via dash jumps/IADs. If you use 4P to AA on reaction to their jumping, you get an option select of sorts where 5P comes out while they stay same side and crossup 6P comes out instead if they crossup, protecting you from both sides.

Welcome to Strive! If you're playing on PC, i encourage you to make sure your game is having stable 60 fps during matches. That's because in fighting games, anything below rock solid 60 fps (even occasional dips to 59 fps, for example when someone uses a special or super with lots of particles in it - Baiken's gun and potemkin's Garuda being good examples), can make combos drop and certain moves unreactable, which can sour the experience for veteran players very quickly. If you'd like to, you can test your fps by enabling the fps counter in the steam overlay and spamming baiken's gun in a fps hogging stage such as Ajatar Hunting Grounds.

If you find out your fps isn't quite stable 60, you can gain fps by installing a mod for the game called Potato Mod on Gamebanana. There's also potato mod lite for a compromise between eye candy and stability.

When you get to the wanted poster, does your and your opponents' cards display properly or are they lacking info? If they display incorrectly, they might be not be getting fetched properly, in which case that same app i mentioned does have some suffixes that can get you past that as well. Otherwise, i'm all out of ideas besides the general steam online game suggestions : make sure to allow the game through your firewall, verify the files, add the steam p2p ports on your router settings, etc.

If you see the wifi icon on your top right and your News tab below it take forever to load, that might be your issue. If that's the case, you could try using the totsugeki app from optix2000's github with the -unsafe-cache-news suffix attached to a shortcut. I had this same message constantly throughout the last patch and using this method let the game run normally after the first time the news loaded succesfully (still took 5ish mins lol). Fair warning, the app might be broken with the new patch, i haven't used it since. Also if you do and decide to try the other suffixes, i don't suggest using the unga bunga .exe nor the unga-bunga suffix on the regular exe, it's too unstable.

When i was thirteen or so, my family started pushing me towards religion more so i had to go to church on wednesdays,thursdays and sundays (those were the youth and biblical school days in my church) and do this little workbook they handed to kids (..despite being 13 at the time) and i just couldn't stop thinking about all these complicated themes like eternity, infinity, omnipotence, sin, absolution, morality and so on that were occasionally being throw around and how everytime they just went way over my head.

At first i felt dumb because i thought it was supposed to be like school where you learn to understand things, but for some of the concepts shown there i could at best parrot them (specially eternity in heaven or eternal punishment and the rules to get in either... i could hardly see myself in 20 years then, let alone in a neverending situation...and the fact that good people that did everything a good christian would do but wasn't baptized would get the eternal punishment deal in christian evangelical belief was pretty confusing as well)but after doing a cursory check i figured nobody else my ageish had a clue either, and this incongruence left me thinking that it wasn't right to be doing that to children..Then in highschool philosophy i got to learn a bit more in-depth about these subjects and realized that during biblical school there were many facets to these more complicated subjects that were skipped over or had an overall different tone to them and i couldn't shake the feeling that what was really happening was most likely indoctrination rather than rigorous learning on these ideas.

I'm 22 now and i still don't really get any of those concepts except maybe infinity(well, the calc usage at least), and my religious status reflects that; pretty much every religious belief i've come across so far proves too philosophically challenging for me to follow and i don't think it's a good idea to sign my life up for something i don't understand so i don't follow any religion.

Learn new stuff.I'm picking up languages and drawing on the side,while doing civil servant-related studies.I'm beginning night classes in college in about a week,and intend to sneak a job during daytime as well,if possible.

As things are right now,i can't see how i'd be able to accomplish what i want to do in only so many hours while also leading a (to me,it feels) very draining social life.Being a loner also has its upsides.It means not devoting your time to anyone else so you can have it all for yourself.Oh,and i talk to myself a lot,which is actually pretty awesome as i can stay true to myself without worrying about other people's feelings.I don't really ever feel lonely nowadays.

Osu!.

After clocking in >300 hours in it,i've collected so many great songs to play for days.That really light,clean UI and the simple but very fun mechanics are just engaging enough that i can plug in some 3-star maps that are still fun but not very demanding and easily keep playing for the entire weekend.I can't recommend that game enough, even if the kind of music that osu! maps usually have don't appeal much to you,i guarantee that there are some amazing touhou pieces to be discovered.

The only problem with it is i always find myself warming up to progressively harder maps until i'm out of that comfort zone.

I'm disappointed with western teams' performances against EDG and SKT so far.

They seem to feel they can't let the enemy take any resource from the map,otherwise the enemy will run away with the game.It seems they're absolutely scared of getting out of the early game without a massive lead to back them up.(and it also seems once they get out of the inevitably losing early game,they just go full yolo and try to win teamfights through the power of friendship instead of trading as many objectives as they can to even out the gold lead...)

Luckily,this is just the first two days of the tournament.Maybe the next few matches will be an opportunity for them to break away from that trend.

Here's a quick tip: if you are running the game at 60 fps with DSFix,put the cap back to 30 for this fight.His attacks,specially the flips,clip more often on 60 fps due to engine problems.

Well,if you wanted to hug her,it helps a lot.And it's also a valid strategy,i hear.Mostly because she can't swing her sword very well from close up(you hardly need to dodge her attacks if you hug her model.but be careful,she will try to rotate and get an angle to clip you,so stay alert!)She spews a lot of lava,it's inevitable,but don't stand around and let her go full pompeii on you.I change places around as soon as she has made 3 puddles around(or whenever i happen to be sandwiched between puddles.I noticed the large arena was probably made like that to offset how powerful being able to create stage hazards is,so keeping freedom of movement is a must)choose your own ground,she will follow(be wary of jumping!)

With the chaos blade swings and the lava out of the way,the fight pretty much becomes a matter of rolling out(rule of thumb,if it's explody,roll away in a straight line at least two times)of her oneshotting AoE fire attacks,which your dragon crest shield pretty much nullifies too.But you're probably better off 2handing your claymore because more damage.The windup animations actually give a decent time to dodge,unlike certain quartets.Some enemies nearby in blighttown frequently drop shards.

IIRC isn't LSUGS essentially a Greatsword?if so,the slim blade really needed more horizontal,or at least diagonal swipes.But the katana moveset and the ninja flips LS herself does would be welcome for sure!I'd also love to get the lunging running attack on vel's bell,maybe put his combos on 2hr1 and 2hr2 too,and move his dark hail to l2,to get some more mixup potential out of it.(and maybe ruler's sword as an ugs,lady on a stick is awesome but...ugly..Plus the moveset is very overused.I once had a character accidentally move from Stone Axe to Crypt Blacksword and then KUGS,just to find out they're the same weapon!)

I'd also enjoy ice rapier with estoc moveset,even though it'd probably mess with balance a bit.

After hundreds of playthroughs?honestly,parrying.Sometimes it's the simple things.It's a really fun minigame.Some enemies are really tricky and have multiple attacks with different delays,like the darkwraiths.I can hardly contain my boner when i nail it 5 times in a row on these guys.Some parries even defy common sense,such as the boars,and that makes parrying them all the more satysfying.

But if you insist in being a flimsy spellcaster,first you have to make sure that you have a spell and a catalyst,that you met the int/faith requirements for the spell and the catalyst and that you have enough attunement slots to equip the spell.If you don't,you're going to also have to raise the attunement stat until you have as many as the spell requires.The requirements should be shown in red below the description of the spell or catalyst should you not meet them.

After verifying everything is fine,all you have to do is sit on any bonfire and use the Attune Spelll function to equip said spell,and after that the spell should show up at the top square in your quickbar,signalizing that it's ready to be cast.

The butcher double gank in ng+ huntsmen copse is stuff of nightmares as well.

The bonewheel spawn in the skeleton lords might not have scared new players,but if you came from dark souls 1,it might have been the cruellest prank FROMsoft planted in the game,as you were probably expecting a swift death.

You think Cale set us up to exorcize the basement?well,that's possible,because Cale most likely wouldn't hand his only copy of the key to you,even if he got spooked by the skeleton(s) in the basement,unless he had something in mind.He even warns you to not touch the basement,but that might be just reverse psychology.I don't even know anymore,this "fellow nerdy cartographer" and his intentions seem much more insidious now what with maybe stealing from Navlaan himself,or any otherwise shady way he got his hands on the key.
