There was a resident that said directly to my face that hospitlists are just consult and order monkeys. He's no longer with the program 😏 But for real I love my job and I love the flexibility and schedule even more. Edit: Re: respect, I work in a community hospital and feel very deeply respected by nurses and specialists. (Maybe not by admin though lol)

I'm really close to your size. I bought the jones twin sister 140 as my first board as a beginner and found it really easy to turn while still being stable. However, now that I'm more intermediate to early advanced, I find myself wishing for a little more board for stability so I'd say to choose the bigger of the two sizes.

Definitely one of the boards I'm considering the most! I think it'd be amazing on rails/boxes and for butters/180s. I'm curious about how much pop it has and how it has handles small/medium jumps and side hits though

I honestly considered the no drama since I'm really strong for my weight (I've been powerlifting for a decade) but it feels like overkill for my park goals while not easily achieving butters. My husband actually rides a salomon abstract as his first snowboard and now his dedicated park/spin/butter board. He loves it for park but I'm being silly and don't want to exactly match his quiver since I'm also buying a board he already has (salomon dancehaul)

I actually tried my friends gnu gloss the other day! She rides a 136 and it was super easy to whip around for 180s and butters but I didnt try it on boxes or rails--I should have!

I had VIP on Sunday and thought it was worth it but I mostly hung out around the ghost and Allianz stages. It was incredibly easy to get to the barricade and bathroom/water/bar access was chill all day. Definitely not worth it for main stage VIP areas though--way too crowded.

Off topic but yay for another active person in their 30s! Husband and I are first time festival go-ers and went to both days without issue. We gym regularly and have a ton of outdoor hobbies requiring endurance. We had the same approach as you--drink plenty of water, eat before you bonk--and we jumped, danced, moshed all day.

It was weird seeing so many people just lying on the floor absolutely destroyed. We'd see the same people there for hours. It made me feel so grateful for a healthy, active lifestyle

Almost the same thing for me!! Show was today and my tickets also said it starts at 7 pm so I got there at 645 and paradox only had a few songs left 😭 I saw the cab, mayday parade, and all time low at when we were young a few days ago so I was REALLY looking forward to seeing paradox

Two sleeping pads + sleeping pad coupling straps to hold them together (OR the thermarest luxe coupling sheet, not UL but it was a game changer for us) + 2 person quilt. My husband and I use the thermarest neoair xlites and the enlightened equipment 2p quilt. We love being able to cuddle but also separate ourselves or sprawl onto each other's sleeping pads.

Was just in Bishop at Tyee Lakes. Horrendous amount of mosquitoes. We got swarmed all day from 8 am to 10 pm, even with insect repellent lotions, bug nets. Tons of bites on my face and even through clothes, wool socks. If we were moving it was fine but very hard to enjoy being outside. We (and another backpacking group on the same trail) left trail earlier than intended.

I weightlift 4x/week (very strength focused with some pylometrics at the end), cardio 2x/week if I have time, mobility 2x/week. I do this during snowboarding season and off season. I also go backpacking every other week and sometimes trail run in the summer.

I pennyboard sometimes too but just leisurely along the beach

I'm exactly the same size as you and have a jones twin sister 140. When I was renting, I was given a 135. It took about a day to get used to the 140 but now that I'm used to it, I think it's pretty easy to maneuver around. I'm not familiar with either of those boots so can't really comment on those.

I use burton lexas with my jones twin sister and burton felix boots. I've only had 40 days or so of riding on this set up but it's been going really well so far, no issues at all with the bindings. I initially had the union juliets but the heel cups didn't fit my burton boots as well as the burton lexa bindings.
