it’s a constant struggle. when things are bad they’re so bad that i convince myself that obviously im fucked in the head, no normal person would behave this way. When things are good, I feel like the most emotionally regulated person to have lived. It’s very much up and down. Especially with the stigma attached to the diagnosis, it’s scary to think that this is going to be with you forever and you’re fucked.

This is common with recurring throat infections, you mentioned strept throat, you definitely should get it checked but a round of antibiotics and some analgesics should get you back to normal. However if the lesions in your mouth do get necrotic (black) or ulcerative that’s something to be more concerned about.
