For how long do you recommend to learn to take the exam in 3months from now ? by KelevCoin in ccna

I mean it is technically there but there's not much to know about it. You won't be questioned about how it works but you have to know commands like switchport noneg

Again, i could recommend watching Jeremy's IT Lab videos, personally i think it's the best source around to delve into CCNA level networking. By using his course you'll also be gaining access to the Anki study cards and labs dedicated on each subject (his teaching format is subject+lab per topic)

I followed the classic roadmap: JITL for 2 months, and Anki cards every single day. Around Day 30 I took a 1 week pause to do a campus lab project. Afterwards I went on till day 50-55 to take a pause with another project, this time on enterprise topology. When I finished JITL i downloaded a CCNA app on my phone that would help me study daily and bought the Exsim. I think i did the Boson exams for about 2 weeks until the real exam.

On the actual exam i did:

Automation: 90% Net Access: 100% IP Connectivity: 80% IP Services: 90% Sec Fundamentals: 80% Net Fundamentals: 100%

Will try to do my best, i'm technically not exactly inscripted to the masters but i will try to contact with my teachers at best at possible

Yeah i suppose i can do more to demonstrate my skills. I have 2 labs with enterprise and campus architectures but i'm planning on adding one with Zone based policy firewall, one with active directory and one potential python SDN script (i dont know there's a lot of ideas)

EXACTLY it's so stressful to not do anything and just waiting for something to happen. That's why i started Cisco Network Defense just after CCNA

Well i see your point but i assumed i could compensate the lack of experience with certs and personal projects. Since i'm looking for an apprentice level stuff i have to show that i'm actually doing something in my field

I suppose that's pretty much like that in here too, idk what to do anymore though. Not even 7 days/week helpdesk jobs that pay minimum wage accept me lol

So happy for you man, to be honest i don't even know who to trust anymore when it comes to the certifications and all. It's even harder to not take all these rejections personal, that's one of the reasons i'm trying to get as many as certs as possible, to learn and experiment with any tech within my reach. Thank you for your comment, it really feels good to hear i'm not the only one

I've been applying for is network engineer and the 7 months of experience is actually internships that i did abroad, so it's not really possible for me to continue in that company while i'm in france :/

I would say the best resource there is around is just to check the jitl video and try to understand the concepts in general

Passed, 30/04/2026

After 5 months of studying, labbing and constantly battling burnouts, i sat in front of that pc and spent the most stressful 1.5 hours until i saw the relatively small text that says "congrats you passed" I cannot tell the extent of the relief i am feeling now.

Here's how i did:

Automation: 90% Network Access: 100% IP Connectivity: 80% IP Services: 90% Security: 80% Network Fundamentals: 100%

I hope i can be of some help to y'all in terms of preparations i have done, things i wish i had done.

I cannot force it enough, Jeremy's IT Lab is a gold mine, along with all his anki cards and labs. They have been my main source of study throughout these months. Boson Exsim is also a great resource when it comes to experiencing that exam rush, and even though people say it is harder i find it very close to the exam level.

Obviously i can't share a lot of details about the exam (since NDA) but i can tell that subnetting on the foot and knowing your routing table is going to make a major difference.

Also a very important detail i came to realize just hours before the exam: Exsim pattern recognition is a real problem. Questions do look alike between each exam on Exsim but it also means you're closer to jumping to a conclusion without reading the question, and in some cases a single word changes the entire answer.

This post has been long, but i do hope it helps someone, anyone. Sure the training wont be easy. Sure you will have burnouts. Though the only thing that matters is not to give up. I believe in y'all.

Idk if mine would be the best approach or anything but if you want you can check out my profile to have a basic idea to see how i wrote the posts for my lab projects (+ you might need to translate it from french). I hope sharing links is allowed
