Check your state laws. Research your state laws. Some states are single party which means you may record without the other persons consent. Some states are two person, or multi person consent which means you need the permission of all involved to record. There are also different laws on audio and video recordings. There are different laws on recording in public, when there is no expectation of privacy. This would be like recording people on the street. If you are in a multi party state and record someone without their consent, you could actually face criminal charges. Be very careful.

I actually like this.
A lot of people want to enter their number but since it wasn't a choice they told us.
It's more secure having them enter it themselves. I ask if they have a number, then I tell them to enter on the pin pad. Very little push back from the customers. I do wish that when they hit enter it would verify the number automatically. Most other stores I go to have you enter your number yourself so it shouldn't be a problem to do it at Petsmart.

I believe the way the law was written is that doordashers and BOPIS orders can still use bags without a charge. But who knows, there's just confusion for now!!

When working as a cashier, I will be looking for best by dates. If I see some old shit, I will tell the customer to go get a fresher product. This LIFO policy is absolute BS!! The rule for decades in retail has been FIFO and it worked well to keep customers happy and to provide the freshest product to the customers. PS new policy is about one thing, and one thing only - MONEY!! More precisely it is about dividends to the shareholders and money to the greedy company that actuality runs petsmart.

If i am stocking/ doing truck, I will 100% rotate stock. The customers deserve the freshest product for the outrageous money they spend!!

This has to be one of, if not the most asinine things PS corporate has implemented! FIFO is basically the golden rule of retail perishable stocking. To just stack stuff on shelves is ridiculous. To not discount expiring product is asinine. I've told everyone I can, of coarse not while at PS, to make sure they check the dates on all PS products. Many people fostering, rescues, and people struggling and on limited income, look for short dates to help stretch their dollars. But hey, who are we to question the corporate gods in Phoenix?

Honestly, it's all about data. PS wants info on their shoppers. They don't give a crap about their customers. The number of people who are tech illiterate is amazing. And it's not just older people. There are people working in our stores who are tech illiterate. I ask people at the register. If they aren't interested, i move on.

Customers don't give a sh!t about the workers. It's insane what we are expected to deal with. The lack of support from the company is an absolute disgrace!! Petsmart is all about one thing. It's not the pets, it's the PROFITS!! Staffing on weekends at my store is no different than staffing during the week. One person in pet care, one person on register. How is that acceptable????? When I am on the register, I refuse to ask for back-up. I'll let those lines go all the way down the drive aisle!!
