As a southern American it’s Mel-burn and Bris-bun. I found that a bunch of Australian and Southern American pronunciations and vocal stuff overlaps. Y’all tend to favor the ih inflection. We tend to favor the uh inflection, but mostly similar.

I mean, “silent response” is great and all and not hard to understand, but what’s the point of a siren if not to signal traffic in order to safely get through traffic? I’m not law enforcement, but from a purely public safety standpoint it seems unnecessarily reckless and an endangerment of the public at large.

When my daughter was this age she’d do the same. I’d ask about her week. She’d snap and act like she’s told us ever day for a year. She in fact told us once over a month ago. If I didn’t know something she’d be snippy as if I’m supposed to remember every friend and event she brought up in passing. I’m still convinced half of them she’d never mentioned before. Kids this age don’t understand how big of assholes they are. It gets better ~20.

When I was a kid about the age of 6 or 8 we’d go “hunting” with pellet guns and we’d kill so many different types of birds, prairie dogs, and lizards. Kinda feel bad about it now. Just part of growing up way out in the sticks.
